Does playing for multiple teams diminish a player's accomplishments?

Many players throughout the Big 4 have gone their entire career with one team or played the majority of their career with one team and spent the latter years with another. Do these players accomplishments seem greater than a player that never spent the majority of his career with one team?
And I don't mean for this to turn into a LeBron discussion although this is likely inevitable.

Ruth played for Boston, Yankees, Braves
Jordan played for Bulls, wizards
Shaq played for Orlando, Lakers, Magic, Boston, Cleveland

I don't think it does. But some people are idiots and think it does for some weird reason. I mean, what jersey you are wearing has nothing to do with your individual accomplishments.

Not really.
Wilt Chamberlain played for three different teams. Ditto for Babe Ruth. Reggie Jackson played for four different teams, five if you count both stints with Oakland. Even Gretzky played for four teams.

Not necessarily, but there is something to be said about a guy sticking with one team his whole career ala chipper, jeter, Ripken, and Brett. I love it when a guy plays his whole career in one place, partly because it is so rare nowadays.

As it relates to ring chasing:
Shaq > Lebron
Shaq > Lebron

My favorite is when someone tries to diminish how good a player is, it's so silly.
Whether you play 15 seasons with 1 team or 15 seasons with 15 teams, you're still the same exact player, no better or worse.

to me a player playing for, winning, and heavily contributing to winning titles for multiple teams says something about their impact as an individual. you hear how rare it is for a coach to win a ncaa and nba championship or bringing a team from the east and west while making/winning titles as something great. why can't a player do the same without talk about some legacy.

diminish accomplishments? no
diminish legacy? possibly, if the sole reason you abandon ship is because you not mentally tough enough to win without taking shortcuts

When it fits someone's agenda for bashing a player they didn't like in the first place, sure.
