I'm still on the fence. I didn't care for the way the show was going in episode 1 and 2, but episode 3 was really enjoyable.

i feel the exact opposite. episode 3 was ridiculously stupid. completely deviated from the first two with no explanation.

I may have given more leeway to episodes 1 and 2, but I think we're in agreement - Ep. 3 has been the turning point for me - hopefully they plan to tell more stories like that - 1 or 2 major stories per episode, and rotate as necessary.

Regardless of this, if he won $160k the casino would've deducted taxes before paying his winnings. Even if you take out just 25% that leaves him with $120,000 net. So he would be short $10-15k for the church deed. Writers focked up there.

Watched the first three this weekend. Very good so far. But its themes--pessimism, religion, study of human nature, facing death, Job, and so on--are also themes that always hook me.
What I really like about the mystery is that it's only an exaggerated version of what happens in ordinary life anyway.

I can understand those that don't enjoy the show...it is very different. I however, find interest in it and will continue watching.

This show is kind of morbid but it's like a much better left behind "non christian" version. This whole take on the "rapture" or whatever it is, is extremely interesting. not sure how anyone couldn't at least be intrigued by the plot. I wanna know about the creepy white people who don't talk, the weird guy who has the house full of asians who kisses dead people, and this preacher who gets knocked out like marquez vs mayweather. It's a very interesting show in general and would not miss it each week.
