Yeah. I'm trying to like this show but they aren't making it easy.
So random to make the boy his step son and not his biological son. It's more modern i guess. I would have rather them been married for a long time to make " her sacrifice" seem like it meants something. I think we have found out she is a crazy, broken, bitch.
Maybe it was written this way.

Well, they've been together a pretty long time for them to have a high schooler together - we assume he came along when Tommy was pretty young.

I have no clue. If it was better written I think the show could be great. The characters are so close to being good but all have some WTF thing that will probably take the series to work/find out. Ain't nobody got time fo dat shite.
Kevin- the first rule about fight club is we do not talk about fight club.
Laurie (sp)- had a kid by an unknown. She states unknown made a mess Kevin cleaned up. Joins cult then files divorce from Kevin. Maybe the 1st guy wasn't at fault.
The 2 kids seem messed up but can be redeemed. The son needs to quit being such a Beta bitch though.
The other characters the jury is still out on them all. That wierd after a 4th episode.

DVR'd this and cannot seem to make myself now watch it. wanted to like it put no desire to watch

Yeah. Jill borrowed the car so she is 16-18. The son must be college age. The show went out of their way to make him a step father. Like some kind of subliminal message for men to wife up single mothers with this show and others not counting all the movies.

This show is based on the aftereffects of something supernatural which apparently is still happening- with the rev. betting on red. My take is that the dogs are controlled by satan or whatever now. I've read the wikipedia on the books and understand the white cult but I'm thinking they'll take the show down a slightly different road. Nevertheless, something significant needs to happen as there are too many good shows to be blueballed by this one.

Most shows that succeed have many characters the audience can connect or understand. This show has several but its missing the mark or unfolding too slow for people to care. I like Kevin and get he has a lot of shite on his plate. His wife was ok ina wierd way til this last episode. She seemed like a normal person trapped in a cult. She can be normal or bat shite crazy, not both.
Rev is ok even though he went gutter on the attempted robber.
The kids need to step up.
Two single moms waiting on a man heal their lives.
The twins are decent.
The rest haven't had enough of a chance to establish themselves yet.

3 was the best episode by far. Then it slid back into mediocrity tonight.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's canceled after S1. Don't see this show lasting beyond 2 seasons.
