Claim - McDaniels found enough invalidated votes to overturn Cochran win

This could be an interesting summer in Mississippi.
A McDaniels challenge showing widespread invalid voting could be enough to get a new runoff.
I don't know MS election law, but I feel that the courts could overturn the Cochran victory entirely if thousands of the invalid votes happened at precincts where Cochran won by overwhelming numbers, such as with 95% of the vote.

The Chris McDaniel campaign has identified multiple Mississippi counties in which enough improper ballots have been cast that a legal challenge to the outcome of the election is warranted.
This after Thad Cochran reportedly relied on 25,000-35,000 Democrat votes to pull him to victory in the June 24 runoff.
UPDATE: The Cochran campaign is reportedly asking county clerks not to certify the voting rolls until the last day possible so that the McDaniel people will not be able to look at the rolls and challenge them.

I think in Ms there is no election recount rather a court has to declare the election invalid. Doubt a new election would help McDaniel though-he'll probably lose by a bigger margin. His actions and words haven't helped his image.

It certainly won't help Cochran either when it is publicized how he only won last time thanks to blatant pandering to Democrats who won't possibly vote for him in November.
Hell, you've got at least one preacher in Jackson who has taken responsibility for the "McDaniels is racist!" flyers and robo-calls.
The free shite army will still vote for Cochran, but I think a lot of Republicans in the state would hold their nose and vote for McDaniels because they're pissed at the Democrats trying to pick their candidate.

The margin of victory was about 8000.
The total number of Dem crossover votes is believed to be about 35,000.
The total number of invalid votes has not been listed yet, just said to be "large enough to overturn the election".

Here are 3 fraudulent votes right here, great job poll watchers and election administrators!

This implies they gave a shite about their jobs vs. getting the result they wanted.

McDaniel has asked the head of the republican party in MS to instruct circuit clerks on certification.
Anyone think that sounds a bit odd?

Well I guess we'll see who benefits or not IF a court rules.

There is clear evidence of voter fraud in this election (cross over voters casting ballots in both the Democratic and Republican primaries). It is also my understanding that you cannot vote in the runoff if you did not vote in the primary (I may be misunderstanding this part).
Bottom line, I recommend that he take it to court. It is not like the Republican establishment will ever support him so he is not burning any bridges with them.

At the least, I'd want another election so that the preachers in MS raise the demand on Cochran for how much "walkin' around money" he pays for votes.
It'll be significantly more than the $100K they supposedly paid this time around.

Will this be the norm going forward? Every loser of a close election threatening court action?
He lost to the better man.

There is pretty much precedent at this point for every close vote going to a challenge.
This one just may have more merit than some others IF it is conclusively proven that there were thousands of invalid votes out there thanks to people voting in both the Dem and Republican primaries.
If the rolls are as obvious about such double-votes as the image above, you'd think it would be easy to find a ton of these if you had the time.

Can someone tell me what makes the votes invalid?
Im assuming that registered Dems aren't allowed to vote in Republican primaries?

Party registration is not required in MS, so that isn't the issue.
However, you're only allowed to vote in ONE party's primary, not one party's primary and then the other party's primary runoff.
The allegation is that a lot of people who voted in the Dem primary also voted in the Republican runoff, which is against state law and makes for an invalidated vote.
