You're right. I didn't have a close relationship with my Dad but I did with my Mom. The passing of my Dad hit me harder than loosing my Mom because there was so much unresolved crap between us.

So very sorry.My FIL died in 2010 at the Carpenter House.It was a difficult tim for my wife but the staff there is great and he died peacefully.Lean on those around you and spend anytime with you dad that you can.Prayers sent.

My thoughts go out to you. Enjoy the time you have left with your dad. I wish my dad was still with me.

prayers for you man. I lost my Dad in 98. I was only 20 at the time. Cherish the times you had bud.

Sorry for your grief. Lost mine when I was 12, what time we had together I'll never forget even though they were few. My mother is still alive at 89, but has alzheimers. Shes still rocking though even if there is hardly any communication. I can look her in the eyes and she me and we can talk to each other this way. Nothing like a dad though.
