Meh, y'all could hang out uptown or in the warehouse district and you will not even know they are in town.

Probably night.

Yeah, the 6 of us only see each other once a year, so something low key and kinda quiet would be nice now that I think about it.

Magazine St has:

Rumhouse (extremely popular carribean taqueria, there will be pussy galore.)
The Bulldog
Rendezvous
Dat Dog
Bouligny Tavern

You will do well just sticking to that section of Magazine with Rumhouse, Bulldog, Tracy's, etc.

among many other places.

Freret Street:

HighHat
Ancora Pizza
Cure
Publiq House
GasaGasa

The Riverbend area has:
Daquiris and Cream
Madigan's
tons of bars on a Maple Street
etc etc

Jacque-Imo's on Oak Street. The Maple Leaf next door.

There are also college bars and all that.

Go to the FDB and you will get lots of good answers.

(A lot of those places are places I do not go to, but might be better for your purposes)

You guys would probably have a really great time one night waiting an hour for a table at Rumhouse and drinking, eating there, then heading to Bulldog, Rendezvous, Tracy's etc and then walking around over there.

The next night maybe go to Jacque-Imo's. Its not my favorite place, but tourists love it. And you CAN make a reservation there for a party of 6 or more I think, so definitely do that or you will be waiting for a table for 2 hours. You can get drinks at Maple Leaf next door, walk down to Oak and get drinks in a more upscale environment, and then go right over to Maple Street and hit up some college bars.

Weekend planned.

Freret Street uptown is going to be a slightly more Hipster-y scene, but they do have some really good places to eat in a casual environment like Company Burger and Ancora. Publiq House over there is a pretty good venue for music and beer. Cure is the granddaddy of Post-Katrina douchebag cocktail bars.

Avenue Pub on St Charles is one of the best Beer bars in the south.

And maybe you can hit a true dive bar like Snake and Jakes.

A bunch of mid 30's white guys in town for a fantasy football draft in Folsom should stick to the warehouse district. I think Lucy's/Barcadia followed by Harrah's would be your speed.
