My discussion grade is in. Was docked for in-text citation listing author's last name instead of last name, first and middle initial. Guess I'll need to be more careful :-)

2 & I don’t know how far you are in the program, but I definitely wouldn’t waste one on Acctg.

Module 2 is kicking my a$$ in ACCT this week. McGee says "skim" the text and focus on the 100+ slide ppt deck. Problem is, a lot of the learning objectives she published for the week are not in he deck. Totally dreading the Quiz/Assessment. The final is going to kick my a$$

If you only rely on the Powerpoint slides, you will do horrible. Honestly, I do not know why she would say that.. =( luckily, I actually went through each objective and learned as much as I could. I think what got me on three of the questions was the wording of the questions and the fact that I was too confident. I finished in 15 minutes. It was my fault. Next time, I will take at-least 35 minutes

Anyone taken the FIN 701 exam yet? I'll probably do fine, but it's the fear of the unknown...

I'm not currently in the class, but I'll reiterate what others have said.

Vines' reading guide is your best friend. You can't read it and know it too much. I didn't touch any other reading materials in the class. The first time you read the guide you probably don't understand a word of it. He types those things as if you know what every abbreviation and every term means beforehand. But through the Zoom meetings and practice and re-reading the guide, everything will come together for you and the guide starts to make sense more each time you read it.

As others have said before, for the math problems, have your excel template created and ready to go. Also, instead of having excel do all of the work at once, have each step in the calculations broken down and set it up so you can copy and paste these steps and their descriptions into the exam blank nice and easily. Partial credit is important.

Finally, It wouldn't hurt for you to take key terms from the guide and type them into a word document with your own definition of them. This way, when you get into the exam and he asks for the definition of a term, you can copy and paste and move on. You will have your answer well thought out before.

Good luck. You'll do fine.

Did anyone take MKT 701. My first will be this summer AP2 and I'm planning on taking MKT 701. Who is the least heavy professor to take it from? please advise. I'm doing data analytics program.

Most here have taken MKT 701 or are currently taking it. I'm about 99.9% sure it's not offered Summer AP2 so you may want to find something else to take.

As of today, James is the only prof for MKT701, it was once before taught by Darrant, and if that ever comes up again jump at the chance. James class is known to have the most work of any other class in the program, currently in it myself and it's my 9th class, I can concur.

MKT701 isn't offered Summer AP2. Maybe MKT705 is (no idea). As mentioned above, you probably won't have a choice as James is going nowhere. Probably not great chance they have another section as her coaches do all the grading anyway.

Looks like a few people dropped in MKT701 today. As nauseating as the course is, you've got to complete it to finish the program. Just have to remember only 5 more weeks :).

Just finished FIN701 exam with moments to spare. Had an even mix of concept and quantitative questions. Ending up running out of time, but did type in answers for all questions. Some were semi-educated but still wild guesses. Guess i can't cry over spilled milk but....

Is the LSUS MBA program any good? I’m an LSU alum but I moved back home to NY. Thinking about doing an MBA, but it’d need to be online or at night as I have a 9-5 Tuesday-Friday.

Depends on what your looking for.. if your looking to check the box and have an MBA for the resume then it’s great. If your looking for an MBA that you want to learn and have professors who are willing to actually teach, id like elsewhere. Meeks and shaugneesy are the only ones who have videos of their own and go out of their way to make it a good learning experience.
