First of all, congratulations to those who graduated! Best of luck to all of you in your future endeavors! Second of all, is anyone taking an elective during Spring AP2? If so, which one? Just trying to gather opinions on what is available.

This is just an observation, but all 8 of your posts are you asking for a free textbook. Have you thought of contributing?

The entire graduation experience today was amazing and well worth the trip to Shreveport. It was wonderful to meet our professors in person. I was able to chat with Dr. Williams. Dr. Vines, Dr Meeks, Dr. Darrat, and Dr. Shaughnessy.
Cool to attend a morning breakfast reception for the Online MBA students and then get a short tour of the campus.
The service itself in the CenturyLink Arena was fun. I highly recommend attending graduation if at all possible. It's a great way to reward yourself for all the hard work.

I 2nd socal's thoughts! What a great ceremony. I couldn't get over how many graduate MBA students they had. We definitely showed out and you can tell that the Chancellor and school in general recognize the golden ticket they have in this program. Would/will recommend it (program) to anyone.

Hey Jeaux Cool, I taking MADM 730, Spring AP2. I really wanted to take ISDS 710 but its only offered Summer AP1 and I want to graduate this Spring.

To echo what Jeaux Cool said, congratulations to all who graduated and endured the long hours in order to do so. I will hopefully be there at the end of Spring AP2 as I am taking three classes Spring AP1 and one (ECON 705) in Spring AP2 to finish. As for elective, I am taking MADM 715 for the Human Resources Concentration. Was going to extend my time and take either two Enterprise electives or the two Project Management electives, in the end, I am just dying to finish.

You know socal77, after reading your post and SBREES I might just make plans to attend now. After all the long nights of postings, papers and Zoom sessions, I think it is a must to reward ourselves. Thanks for the details and best of luck to you both and all others who graduated this term!

I planned on finishing Spring AP2 as well but I ended up changing to Data Analytics so one more session won't be too bad. I'm wanting to relocate to DFW and figured Analytics would be a good start to doing that.

I took James and learned A LOT! BUT after taking 8 classes, I can say that James by far gives thee most amount of work. From my barometer, I think a "B" is definitely achievable. I got an "A" but had to legitimately put in 20-25 hours per week to get it. In addition, I found myself taking days off of work just so that i can get in an extra study session and to also get projects done. I've heard that Darrat may be a better choice and slightly easier option towards getting an "A". I say slightly because I've heard that Darrat gives extra credit and slightly less work. Another student also mentioned to me that he achieved over a 100% in Darrat's class, this type of feat is most likely NOT achievable with James.
After reading this, I pulled the trigger on tba. Taking a shot hoping someone besides James is going to take this session. If anything I can always switch over to Knotts for MADM if spots are still available.

I'm thinking this is a good strategy, I think I'll do the same.

I see that everyone is taking the leap to Knotts instead of williams. I am thinking of switching from ACCT to MADM with Knotts just to get it out of the way.I am only taking one class each term. Has anyone taken Knotts before or are you all just taking a chance?

I'm taking a chance based on feedback here. I initially signed up for Fin701 next semester but switched last week.
Figured with a few weeks to rest before the semester it was a good time to take the plunge and get it over with.

you sound like the kind of guy who may not be ready for an MBA. You need more real world experience to help develop your people skills a little more.

@Jeaux, I don't know anything about the course other than its International Business. I didn't have a lot of options for electives in AP2 as you can prob attest to. I didn't want to take HCAD750 or Fin 720, that left me with MADM 715 AND MADM 730. I chose MADM 730 1) Because I am anticipating learning business management/strategy processes that can be useful to me in corporate america & 2) based on some students on this thread that stated they got an A in his MADM 710 class, such as the post below:

Of those two, I'd take MADM 720 solo. There's a lot of reading.
I took Sanjay for MADM 701. Got an A so its hard to advise against taking him.
