I just wanted to thank everyone who has ever posted on this forum over the years. I withdrew from another Louisiana university this semester because their online program was atrocious. After reading this forum, I enrolled with LSUS and start classes next semester. :)

ISDS 702 with Hayati was one of my favorite classes so far (have taken 7 already). The material you learn can translate into any industry that you might me in presently or looking to jump into.

ISDS 702 is being taught by someone else in the Spring unfortunately. Ahmet Koksal I believe.

festivalsandfitness, nothing yet. My undergrad degree won't be complete until the end of this month. I'm wondering if I will need to wait for final transcripts to be sent to LSUS before I'll hear anything. Anyone have insight on this?

If I am accepted, I am planning to take Acct 701 next semester. I haven't decided if I will double up courses yet. I've taken a full load of courses for 2 years to complete my undergrad degree...I may take this next journey slowly.

Yes, that's right. The schedule is out now. It seems like his tests are very difficult.

His reviews on RMP don't seem bad so I guess we will just have to see

I agree, this class was fantastic. It was no worse or harder than FIN701 or ECON705 when it came to the material. Very useful content too with real world examples that made sense.

Thanks for investigating @Signa7, it looks like I will be doing the Data Analytics specialization rather than the concentration. I really enjoy Dr. Meeks, so I'll find one of his classes to fill the elective.

I am going to end up with a data analytics specialization as well. I'll be taking MKT 701 and ISDS 702 in Spring 1 and have spring 2 off before finishing up Summer 1. I decided to go this route in order to take ISDS 710 and avoid FIN 720 with Hsieh.

Way back in this forum i read where ISDS 702 was a hard class and many advised to be aware of the class and how difficult it was. I took notes on the forum when i first read it all. Has the class changed or were those earlier posters mistaken. I see some positive things about it now on the forum.

Best I can tell is that Binshan Lin was the professor for the people who posted how difficult it was. With the many new instructors and changes happening in the program, I'm going to take an unknown professor over one who is known to be difficult (Hsieh).

I'm thinking about the same thing. I'm taking my first class with Dr.Meeks and enjoying it.

Unfortunately I can't do this. I am six classes in and can't make my schedule work that way without sitting out Spring AP2, so I'm going to power through HCAD 750

That's how mine lined up as well. I'll be at that point in two years.

From my experience on 760 your Summer AP2 can be challenging. Lots of work in 760. Not hard work, just busy work. Depending on who you get for 702 you can be in for some long days...

Are you all taking classes at the same school? I'm just starting to look into going back for my MBA. Unsatisfied with my current job and would like to go back and learn more and maybe get a clearer vision what type of work I want to get into. Undecided on what to focus on.

Are the programs you all are in strictly online? I'd like to be able to make connections while taking courses, but also would like the option to still work full-time to cash flow tuition.

Also how long are the programs that you all are in?

Interesting name you selected for yourself...

Yes, we all attend the same program (LSUS). The MBA program is completely online. The program is flexible. I will finish in 10 months, but I know others that have taken 18 months to 2 years to finish. It's really up to you and how much time you can commit to courses each session.
