For those who took FIN 701 with Vines, does he eventually post a study guide separate from the “module reading” and “practice” word documents? I’ve read here that re-wording the study guide is a valuable way to prep for exams, so I’m just wondering if it’s actually titled as a study guide. The documents he has up now might as well be written in Japanese from my perspective.

ProctorU was a nightmare for me. It took over an hour to get everything straightened out, while my actual ISDS 705 exam took only 40m. I’m dreading the next two exams already. Do any classes besides ISDS 705 use ProctorU?

I’ll admit that that I only skimmed over that page. Thank you.

Quick accounting question for you guys (the department, not the class). Is it customary that the tuition for both Spring AP1 and Spring AP2 are taken out of the Spring AP1 refund? This seems odd to me. Why wouldn’t they split the charge like they split the refund disbursement?

Can anyone shed some light on MADM 751 with Meeks? I have a 4 page Word document with notes I’ve taken from this forum (yes, I’m that person), but I don’t have much info about MADM 751. I appreciate any insight!

I typed a response to this post three times and deleted it because it was so long lol. I’ll try to be brief and not go on a rant. I withdrew from UL last semester because of their poor instruction. All course material was through McGraw Hill and none of it was cohesive. It was not aligned properly at all, and the professor was merely our “professor on file” (this was actually said by the MBA director). By the time I withdrew, nearly half of my classmates did as well. I believe the issues were only with the foundation courses, but I didn’t get far enough into the program to find out. I took two courses and both had the same issues. I’m already having a better experience with LSUS in week two of my first course.
I don’t really have an opinion on UL vs LSUS reputation wise. I think if you work hard to earn an MBA from an accredited university, that is all that matters (in my opinion). Also, most of the textbooks in this program are free eBooks to save on cost for students, so no need to deal with a bookstore.
I’m sure someone who has been in the program longer than me will respond, but my time with UL was a nightmare and I felt compelled to share my experience. (Yes, this post is still too long).

I just wanted to thank everyone who has ever posted on this forum over the years. I withdrew from another Louisiana university this semester because their online program was atrocious. After reading this forum, I enrolled with LSUS and start classes next semester. :)
