From this compass (mylsus) homepage, don't log into your account. Select Course Schedules. From there you'll have a drop down with "Class Status." Selecting All or Full will show them.
Ah, that's perfect. Thanks for pointing out how to do this!
This leads to an important question: If a class is full, does it still show up in a search in MyLSUS?
Could it be that the class was full before and wasn't showing up for me?

Thank you all for your help with ECON 705. For some reason, it was not showing up as a class for me until I searched just for "ECON". There was one spot left for Shaughnessy so I grabbed it.

FYI to the group - there is 1 opening in Shaughnessy's ECON 705 class for Spring AP2. That won't last long.
Okay, here's the problem. I want to take his course, but I enrolled in the program after January 2014.
ECON 705 L S U S TBA/TBA 1D 03/12/18 04/28/18 TBA - T B A 9 Shaughnessy, Timothy M
Special Designators: 100% Online Course.
This class is not for MBA students admitted after Jan 2014

Craig, I'm just not seeing those options for Spring AP2. :(
Thanks, BusinessKnight. My only other option would be an elective - Hospitality and Casino Marketing. I'm not interested in the other electives being offered.

ECON705: He is teaching it AP2. It is currently full. They've opened an additional section.
I'm not seeing that, my friend. I'm looking at Spring AP2. He's listed on only one class but it says:
This class is not for MBA students admitted after Jan 2014.
It looks like Mary White is teaching ECON 705 for AP2. She has bad ratings on Rate My Professors. :( I need to take this class during AP2. I wonder why Shaughnessy isn't teaching it again?

I would definitely contribute to the discussion, but I am very new to the program. I'm still getting my feet wet.
Same here. I've gotten lots of help and advice on this thread already! It has helped me plan out my entire MBA class plan.

I’ve noticed a glaring difference on this thread as the program has expanded with the frequency of downvotes and opinionated students on here. It is a bit overwhelming. Look back around 6-8 months ago and you’ll overtly and explicitly see the camaraderie and helpfulness in this very thread without the downvote criticism. Seems as though there’s a vitriol here as of late as more students enroll into the program.
I'm a year and a half into the program. Just wondering how it used to be and how it's changed. Can you elaborate?

It's definitely not as easy but should be able to pull an A if you put in the work. Hayati taught the class when I took ISDS 702. It was just the information and the way he taught the material that made a lasting impression on me. One of my favorite classes I've taken so far.
Too bad he's not teaching it this round. :(

Ok, thanks. I guess we will know our grades tomorrow.

I just finished the ISDS test. Can you all see your grade? Unlike the first exam, I cannot view what I made on it.
I'm very surprised ISDS doesn't even have a discussion board to interact with classmates. :(
Thanks for the heads up. I'm taking it at 6:30 tonight. A long day in front of the computer for me.

Unfortunately I can't do this. I am six classes in and can't make my schedule work that way without sitting out Spring AP2, so I'm going to power through HCAD 750
That's how mine lined up as well. I'll be at that point in two years.

ISDS 702 is being taught by someone else in the Spring unfortunately. Ahmet Koksal I believe.
Yes, that's right. The schedule is out now. It seems like his tests are very difficult.

Speaking of ISDS 702, which is offered next semester, does anyone know about it? How does it compare to ISDS 705?
I also took the ISDS 705 exam last night. Proctor U had to take over my computer to change some settings because the Applet wouldn't run even though I did the system test earlier in the week. Loading the Applet seems too much. I really think Proctor U is too invasive. After 15 minutes, I was able to take the test. No issues after that. I'm sorry some of y'all had trouble with it. It makes me worried about the next testing experience.
A survey did pop up for me after finishing.

Multis, my ranking in regards to amount of work (least to most):
ISDS 705 (w/Lin)
ACCT 701 (w/Ambrosio)
FIN 701 (w/Vines)
MADM 760 (w/Meeks)
MADM 701 (w/F.Williams)
MKT 701 (w/James)
Huge gap between FIN 701 & MADM 760 and another huge gap between MADM 760 & MADM 701.
Thanks so much! This is helpful since I have newborn twins at home. I am taking ISDS 705 right now. I chose the right class given my lack of sleep.

What are some good electives to take? I'm doing the general MBA. I am interested in the Casino and Resort Management course, but it's not listed as an elective for the general MBA.
