I turned over a 46/50 for a 92%! I’m very happy!

Lucky you, I got an 87.5, 5 probloems which sucked because I did not have time to calculate the dupont figures to get to my conclusion the way I wanted and then the other quantitative were part A and Part B which I didn't get to put the formula for one, just the answer. Barely finished it but all in all I am ok. Now I got to deal with this Hurricane.

That's a good score on a first exam DC. Now you know what to expect. Good luck with the storm.

In regards to MADM 701 forum assignments... my turnitin score is 12% but it's all from my references and article link. Have any of you experienced this before and is it acceptable?
I emailed my coach about it earlier but he's in Miami and may be out of pocket for awhile.

I wouldn't press my luck if I were you. I'm not sure why everyone was calling this teacher salty a page back, but my guess is that her general responses are unfavorable.

I've also never had a paper hit above 10% just from references. I would try to get that score down by either swapping some references out with other ones (I usually have plenty to spare), adding some more content to the main body, or some combination of the two.

It's worth calling out, however, that I believe Turnitin tries to skip bibliographies/references on documents (as indicated by document markup) and probably can't when it's submitted as a big block of plaintext.

Thanks zdt... not pressing my luck was my first thought also.

The references are all web based articles so the url is included and they are all flagged by Turnitin. I also needed to include a link to the article that my paper was based on which was also included as a reference so it was counted twice on Turnitin. I only need 3 references but I used 5. I'll just get rid of 2 and that should take care of it.

You can just cite the article you're writing about like everything else and leave the link only in the references. There's no reason to include two links.

I did that on both of my submissions (although only one has been graded currently, obviously).

Edit: And literally all of my references (except for the textbook, which I also cite) have been online articles. I include the URLs for every one.

I took her instructions too literal. I see now that she just wants the link to that news article in APA format like the other sources. Thanks.

brent, when I took MADM 701 she told us to only submit the actual writing to turnitin (leave off your references) because if not you will get a higher percentage. Then just remember to add your references to the bottom of your forum post when you paste it over.

Just took the FIN 720 test 1 and it was brutal! This by far was the hardest exam that I have taken in the MBA program! What does everyone else think that is in that class this session? I would love to know what the class average is, not to compare me to others but just to gauge if I need to change up my routine or if it is just genuinely hard!

46.5/50 93% on the fin701 test, so it's celebration time here.

I went into test #1 feeling woefully unprepared and thought I may have to drop the class.

Got my FIN 701 grade as well. Got a 95% to my surprise. I honestly felt like I earned a low B after completing it. Time to start studying for module 2 now, I suppose.

For those that took ACCT 701 with Ambrosio, even though the course has changed a bit, how were his exams? Were the questions basically the same like the quizzes? More math?

I took the exam for FIN701 Thursday and I had 4 problems and 6 qualitative problems. The 4 problems each had 2 problems within one. Mine was almost even, im surprised to see someone did not get a single problem. Shows you have to be fully prepared I guess. I barely finished in time.

I knocked the quiz and assessment out this morning. Same as in the past, just use the search function in the textbook and you'll be fine.

I had the same split actually and also cut it pretty close on time. Regardless, I'm glad to have the first test out of the way. I feel a lot better about this class now that I have a good idea for what the tests are like.

Did he give exams in the past?

Based on how the rest of this class has gone, I'm guessing the exam questions will come straight from the assessments.

Ahhh my bad. I misunderstood you. I'm not sure exams were given since everything was done through Cengage. Surely it'll be comparable to how the quizzes and assessments are, but there's really no way to know.
