I sure hope Shea doesn't go to Alabama.
and if he does that is his choice and business. If LSU is happy and have the qb's they want what is the problem?

Let him. LSU has the composite #1 Dual Threat QB in the country.
I'll take that trade any day.

This. If Franks ends up being as good as they're saying he is, nobody will care about an in state QB that went elsewhere.

I honestly think with Franks already on board and looking very solid in his commitment; Cam might put more effort in recruiting 2017 prospect Lowell Narcisse in addition to evaluating the other 2016 QB prospects.

Prominentwon it's just dotting your is' and crossing your ts'. LSU knows they won't get every recruit but you still do cause word get around that the States' university is not recruiting instate kids then the 1980s and 90s happen
For the most part the late 80s and 90s happened because of terrible head coaching decisions and a lack of institutional investment in the football program.
I agree with his larger point that LSU's recruiting is on solid footing because of not just the ability to recruit outstanding Louisiana kids but also premiere players from all over the country. Do I have a slight bias towards Louisiana kids? Absolutely. But worrying over kids who want to leave the state just doesn't make my list of things to think about when LSU more than gets back out of state what they lose in state.

Saw Patterson against West Monroe last year run away from DB's just a tremendous athlete. Knew nothing about him beforehand but did after that game. I heard someone make a comment regarding LSU going to a dual threat type, seems like we've had both types of late in my opinion but with Cam do you want a pure passer or maybe a qb with more mobility and less in the passing dept. I know the answer is both qualities ideally but real world

I agree. I think LSU does the best it can all things considered. They might miss here and there, but overall they hit more than they miss. The coaching staff's goals for a recruiting class differ from the fan's goals. I think fans worry about perception too much while the coaches mostly care if a recruit can fill a need and contribute.

That may be the best comment I've ever read on this site.

Do you know if he's gotten the opportunity to play college ball somewhere? I'm not good at analyzing film, but the kid popped out at me.

Having seen both Patterson and franks play....Patterson is much more well rounded in the game. His talent will transfer over to the college level much better than franks...Patterson also looks to command his team a lot better than franks. I see Patterson making a bigger splash in college and actually don't see franks ever starting for LSU.

Well, since there is doubt about who is better, I say we get them both in here and let them battle it out. Hopefully that will be possible...

As of now, Shea is planning to camp at LSU in July (Against what his Dad thinks). They feel that Les, not Cam is the reason Shea hasn't been offered, due to his height. I think he'll impress at the camp and get an offer that he really does want. Now, accepting it is another story...
Oklahoma has told him that he's further along than Knight or Bradford were at the same stage, and they are way up on his list. My hope is that if he doesn't come here, he doesn't stay in the SEC West.
