They hate bond? Skyfall may have been the best Bond made after Woodstock. '

Skyfall was garbage.

You will only be safe if I take you into the middle of nowhere with almost no defenses and alert the bad guys to our location.

I've seen these.

And I wouldnt say any of them are "over-rated".

None were "great". Except maybe Network, which I really enjoyed.

That's really the only one that doesn't belong on the list.

I wouldn't call it garbage. 2/3 of it was great but that third act was just a clown show. It just went off the rails and tried too hard to take the "Bond goes back to his roots" angle. Like others said, it was basically "James Bond is Home Alone." However, the final scene might be the best ending scene of a Bond movie. They did a great job of capturing the style of the 60's Bond. As a Bond fan, I'll take Skyfall over every Brosnan movie and nearly every Moore movie.

Casino Royale (2006) >>>>> Skyfall.

Inception shouldn't be anywhere near this list.

Incredible that Network would be on that list. If anything, it's more important today than it was forty years ago.

Network and Albert Brooks' Real Life are the two movies that correctly predicted what TV would become in the 21st century.

Man, I feel Network is really dated. As if the network news would ever have that much influence in the modern world. The era of everyone watching the Big Three is just over -- TV has lost its authoritarian voice. People cite as being this great predictor of the modern media, but I just don't see it: we're projecting onto it.

Mad as Hell is a great scene, though. I do like how the film shows how we co-opt genuine outrage and turn it into a commodity, then a joke. That's spot on.

The rest of the list ain't bad: a movie must be rated in order to be overrated.

I agree that a case could be made for that. However the rest of Brosnan's Bond movies are on a Batman & Robin level of bad.

Imo, Casino Royale is the best bond film. Goldeneye would be #2 for me. I don't think Skyfall is bad, but it is overrated.
