I want to see what happens beginning next year if he still owns it...players have the balls to boycott playing for him?
So many questions
So many questions

1. Classy legal strategy. Dig up irrelevant dirt (95% I admissible in a legal proceeding.
to be fair, this information is likely for something other than a legal proceeding. what's good for the goose is good for the gander. that's basically what cuban warned the owners about when this all started

2. How would this "crush" the NBA?
how many owners would have to face similar scrutiny before you'd call it a crisis? 1 more? 5 more? 10 more?

Because he's the only owner who actually broke his contract. It isn't against the league's constitution to make racist remarks, but it is to make remarks that have an adverse affect on the league. No one else has made remarks that have caused sponsors to threaten to leave.

Well we don't know that yet. Doesn't have to be just remarks does it? What if these investigators bring to light actions of other owners that cause sponsors to leave? Then what
Out of the 29 others, you know they'll be able to find at least 1 big skeleton.

Are you sure? Or have the statements just not been made public yet?

The NBA's lawyers will simply file motions limiting discovery. The dirt you think is going to be exposed is irrelevant to the case.
Like the illegal recordings the NBA used against Sterling?
And there isn't a legal motion the NBA lawyers can file that will stop Sterling from publicly exposing the owners as the hypocrites we all know they are.

Mark Cuban knew this was going to happen.
Mark Cuban isn't going to say it directly publicly, but he sure has implied it many times, he's secretly glad this is happening and to be honest with you I would be too.
Not saying Mark Cuban is a racist or anything, but he understands that getting shite taken from you because of things you say in private conversations is complete and utter bullshite.

The very fact that we don't know about any other statements proves the point.
If Sterling's PIs find out that an owner made remarks, those remarks are made public, and there is a huge uproar over the remarks then the NBA could then get rid of that owner. But the PIs will have to be the ones to find it because right now the fact that other owners may have made statements that no one (till this point) gives a shite about is completely irrelevant to the case.

Yeah, Cuban has made the glass house analogy a few times in reference to this, but he mentioned black hoodies, so we can no longer give validity to his point of view because he is obviously a racist

Dirt is inadmissible in court just like sterling's private conversation would be yet you think he deserves his team taken away? It's going to be hilarious reading about all the prostitution, lives ruined and more these other owners have done.

the only point proven is that the public doesn't know about these (hypothetical) statements. just like the public didn't know about sterling's until the day they were released publicly

uh, no shite
that's why they were hired

The NBA didn't record and release the tapes of Sterling, a third party did. All the NBA cares about is protecting its image and it's finances. Once there was a large backlash against Sterling then there was a contractual violation.
And the NBA can certainly file motions to prevent Sterling from using the legal discovery process to fish for dirt on the other owners.

he's not using discovery. he's using his own investigators

Let's start digging into the players' private lives too, especially the ones that have been so critical all along.
Well nevermind, they are black so it wouldn't matter.

With those kind of resources, if just put an incredible bounty on the owners, for racist, homophobic, or some kind of "insensitive" remarks. Or just any humiliatin information that would damage the league. He has little time so money isn't the issue.

I don't think you understand. The point being made is that Sterling cannot use legal discovery to uncover dirt on other owners because it is completely irrelevant. The fact that other owners may have said things in the past but those statements are not had an adverse impact on the league. That's the crux of the issue.

This is NOT a good way to "knock out" your opponent in court.

In the end the NBA will wish they had handled this message thing differently instead of the knee jerk reaction they had.
