I've got 5 hours in a Beechcraft Bonzanza so I would've politely told that First Officer to get out of the way and watch a man land a plane.

had a guy say something like that to me once as he was boarding, told me he a has his private SEL if I needed him, I told him I'd call him if we lost three of them and had a need for a single engine pilot

I would think landing a 737 is easier than landing a B-1. I'm guessing the B-1 comes in a little hotter.
And it must have been scary to sit there working radios and shite while a women did all the driving. That's a brave man.

737 is a little squirrely to land, and has pretty hot ref speeds for a smaller airplane, depending on the model, to prevent tail strikes, because it's been stretched out so much

Good point, these suckers (800&900's) are a lot longer than the pudgy little 100-700's.

The only thing worse might be....

FTFY
$100 says he never even had to touch any flight controls.

I'd help you out, triple7.

I let my license lapse a long time ago,
All you need to do is renew your medical and a flight review.

Gongol credited United for giving everyone onboard a hotel for that night, a free airfare
So nice of United to not make the passengers pay for a hotel and subsequent flight to get to where they needed to go.

I read that to mean they put them up in a hotel. Got them to their destination AND gave them a free flight voucher. That's pretty standard. How much the voucher is worth matters most.
