Do you trust the little yellow "#1 Best Seller" badge at Amazon?

Each product category has one product that achieves this coveted status.

Kind of the electronic version of having the best shelf location at your local grocery store.

Curious if folks on here trust Amazon's system to bring you top notch products in every category with a badge you can trust.

Considering that's the only desktop chromebook, I'd say it's the best and worst seller.

I trust only Amazon-recommended Megabridge products.

I trust Amazon so much, I'd let it circumcise my son.

I've never noticed it. I don't look to authority all that often though.

I've never noticed it. I generally know what I'm buying and I'm looking on amazon to see if their price is better than other sites/in store.

If I am looking for a product but I don't know what manufacturer or brand to go with, I google it.

if it is a #1 best seller, it means that it sells the most not that it is the best product in its category (which is where i think you are going).

there are a lot of factors that could make it the best seller:

name recognition
price point
blind specifications
user reviews (yes, i know you have qualms about this)
prime eligible
etc...

the badge means nothing other than the fact that a lot of other people bought this product.

Considering I usually already know what I want before I find it on Amazon, I'd say no.

Stop blaming Amazon for you being bad at buying things.
