The new Range Rover looks awesome. I'd get one in white if I could.

So go back just one or two years, and you've lost $50k, and that's if you barely drive the thing (which you may not with their reliability). That's fricking garbage

fwiw buying a luxury car (any kind) is a horrible idea.

yeah, i know..cad is poor..cad is trashy...but i bought my wife a 2006 sequoia last year for $10k and it still looked & smelled brand new. only had 80k miles.

she's driving the thing around proudly. the sticker (still in the glovebox) was $48k new.

i honestly would rather make it rain on strippers with 48k than spend that kind of money on a vehicle that will only be worth a fraction of that in a few years.

They are the best looking vehicles in that segment, IMO, especially the interiors.

But you know, strippers look pretty hot, too until you get 'em in the light of day.

Consumer reports from 2013 least reliable cars:

10. Ram
9. Volkswagon
8. Hyundai
7. Nissan
6. Jeep
5. Dodge
4. Cadillac
3. Ford
2. Lincoln
1. Mini

I don't see RR/LR in that list anywhere. Hmm.

I will say my brother had a Jeep Wrangler and had nothing but problems with it. In th 2yrs he had it, it was in the shop 5 times with 2 of those major issues. The dealership never once offered him something to drive while his was being worked on. The last time he told them he was done and sold it before they finished the work on it.

Very good friend has the HSE sport and hasn't had any issues yet. It's 2yrs old.

Generally speaking as a non owner. Known for horrible reliability. Who buys an expensive arse car like that then drives it off in the mud? A retard, that's who. Buy a jeep for that dumb shite.

A 2012 Cayenne Turbo holds it's value better at $90K plus and it's a hell of a lot more involving vehicle to drive. It would be a no brainer for me.

i'm not just posting this to stir the pot, but i once had a wrangler and it really was the biggest piece of shite. when i sold it at 30k miles it had ripped seats, the sound bar didn't work, the exhaust manifold was cracked and the steering wheel was off center.

But the OT will tell you they suck and are unreliable without any actual evidence. Oh except every neighbor, cousin, friend, had one and "it was always in the shop"

How about my dad owned one and it was the biggest POS he ever owned.

Literally everything broke on that car. Horrible.
