I talked to some of the employees there today. They got screwed more than anyone else in my opinion. They found out Bally's was closing yesterday when members were coming in asking them questions about checks they were receiving in the mail.
No notice really. Just "oh yeah, come this Tuesday you won't have a job". Some of them were legitimately choking up while talking about it.

Is Lifetime Fitness opening a location in Baton Rouge? I've been impressed with them here.

Don't know. I heard RUMORS today that LA Fitness may move in to the current Bally's location though.

Lifetime is very nice. Expensive though. The "gold" level place was $65 a month and they do not negotiate. Month to month memberships and you can cancel with a 1 month notice. They also charged like $150 for a startup fee or whatever they call it.

LA Fitness is awesome. Cheap too. $24.99 a month and like $99 to sign up.
