I'm 34. I have a 2 year old son.

I obviously can't play as many games as I used to, but as long as you take care of your shite as a husband and father first then your wife will have to deal with it. I usually game on weekend nights after they are asleep, and also when my wife is on one of her phone conversations.

Wake-up call for her. People even older than you and me have comprised the video game industry's target audience for more than 2 decades, starting when we were toddlers. The technology and content has changed alongside our demographic. As of 2013, the average age for a video game player is 30, a number slowly increasing as people who were children playing the first arcade, console and home computer games continue playing now on current systems.
( Source - Entertainment Software Association "2013 Sales, Demographic and Usage Data" )

I'm 28. I'll be 29 in June. I consider myself a mature adult and an actively involved father. I'm a married homeowner with a degree and a full-time job at a homeland security and defense firm. My second child was born on Monday. I'm still at the hospital in fact, and we're getting released today.

My wife had a C-section and needs to recover, so for the next several days I'll be doing about 95% of the baby care around the clock. I'll also be driving my 2-year-old daughter to preschool/daycare every morning and picking her up in the afternoon, making dinner, brushing her teeth, bathing her, reading to her, and putting her to bed. And sometime in between all of that, I will sure as hell be playing my video games.

23, and I will keep playing games as long as they make them.

My GF likes games as well, I got her into them over the years we have been together. Get her into Co-Op and her opinion will change.

I am about to be 40 and still game almost every day.

The fact is my age group is the first group to grow up playing games. Every age group behind me has grown up playing games.

As a whole, these groups will never stop playing games.

So the average age of gamers is only going to continue to climb.

Your GF is a count, and you need to find a new one.

32. Married. 2 kids.

The people who think video games are only for children probably also thought the Internet was a fad.

ETA: Playing games is harder with 2 small kids around because I don't want them to watch me destroy a bunch of zombies or go around killing cops in GTA V but I find time to play the adult games I want to play and kids make the "kid" games more fun (Lego Batman, Skylanders, etc).

43 years old, married twenty years with two teenagers - I have the following I play from time to time:

Alienware M18x (main time waster)
PS4
PS3
X360
WiiU
PSP (custom firmware)
PSVita
3DSXL

And I've managed to coach my son's football/soccer/baseball teams and not miss my daughter's dance/softball/cheer events, while keeping the bride relatively happy in that "brief" period of time.

Never too old for gaming.

Dude, gaming is therapeutic

After a bad day of dealing with Shitty Missouri and Illanoy drivers, i let it out on Xbox.

COD used to be my therapy tool, but they have sucked so bad, that World Of tanks is it. "frick you for cutting me off M5", "Eat shite Panzer III".

I'm 41 and it's very good tool to let off some steam.

I'm 51. I have raised 3 kids (all of them gamers ). You're never too old to play computer games. My wife for years was happy to support my hobby, because most of her friend's husbands were off at the bars scamming on other women.

Win win.

29 next month, and single ( ).

I've used my age to justify not sinking $1000+ into a gaming PC, although I know I'd enjoy the diversity of games more than on my PS4.
