Oh wow. I'm really sad to hear this news. I really did like LAT, especially his standing up for what he believed in without seeing if it was OK to do so, or what anyone else thought. I will remember him fondly for that.

That's really sad to hear, especially considering his presumed youth based on the OP.

Terrible. Just fricking terrible.
I met him at Mr. Pockets years ago. Shook hands, talked for maybe 30 seconds after he introduced himself as the local alumni president. I got busy, didn't attend an LSU alumni event for several years until I bought me and the SO tickets for annual crawfish boil. Charley walks up and shakes my hand again, remembering my name and the contents of our brief discussion which had occurred probably seven years earlier in a rowdy bar. That's what kind of guy he was.
I disagreed completely with pretty much every political view he had, but that is neither here or there really. I hope he's in a happier place now.

One of my favorite posters. In my 10+ years on here, I've never had an avatar. Proud to have this as my first.

He was the chapter President of the LSU Alumni Association in LA. From what he told me.
He saiid once his indentity was known on the TD things got very difficult and personal and he thought it best for him to disassociate himself from the alumni group.
He was welcome in my home though we never met in person. He was one that offered to help in my time of need and I will miss his contributions to this board.

He was a like minded poster. We agreed on many things such as our hate for Bama. Rip LAT.

He really was one of the best posters here, for whatever that's worth. Shreveport boy, too. Thanks for posting.

I want to pay my respects in this thread. Whether you agreed or disagreed with him, he was always dignified and honest.

Terrible news. LAT understood things many others would open do well to their eyes and see. He will be missed.

Just saw this referenced in the MSB for another poster who died, but wow.
I didn't always agree with his posts on here, but I know he loved LSU a ton.
