So I have made an executive decision.
Due to the stalemate we find ourselves in, regarding the villain bracket, I have decided to finish out the hero side.
(This is a nice way of saying it quickly became a hot mess burning inside of a dumpster fire.)
We will retain the final eight participants to face off against the final eight participants in the villain bracket once we have declared a winner in both.
The voting for this round will stay open for 24 hours once the match-ups have been set.
Once again this round will be randomized. This will be the last round we will randomize. At this point the heroes will be assigned a seed 1-8. I will randomize it, because if we had to seed them, this round would never happen.
I would also like to remind the field that the versions of these characters have been set. No bitching! Also, no augmentations!

I think flash's ability to go far faster than bolt's sound based attacks is the key. The speed of sound is a snail's pace to him.

Planet Hulk, he was a bad mofo, flew into the heart of the planet and held it back together, beat a weakened Silver Surfer with little difficulty (not sure how weakened but he did pass through the same worm hole that weakened hulk). Survived bombing, wrecked space ships with one hit. I'm going with Hulk over Thor since this is purely a slug fest.
Ms. Marvel, screw the flying bricks!
Flash, light travels faster than sound and a punch traveling at Flash speeds is going to knock anybody out.
Superman? I don't think Firestorm could hurt him enough before Superman punched him into oblivion.
Eta: I'm opened to arguments and will change if persuaded. also I think we should keep the heavy hitting villains. They've all been beaten over and over again. It'll be interesting to see the one on one battles, the heroes are always also having to go against some convoluted take over the world scheme and then fight the villain, I'm interested to see it all stripped away and just a good old fight instead.

I'm going to go Hulk here. I've always looked on Hulk as having almost limitless strength if he gets mad enough. Thor is a great warrior and very powerful but I think in the long run (and it might be a very long battle) Hulk would prevail.

I went into this open minded and followed the arguments on both sides. I just think that if Ms. Marvel can tap into the power of a white hole or whatever under dire need, that she would come out on top. Add to that her military training and her energy absorption and I think she wins.

thor over hulk
ms marvel over shazam
flash over black bolt
superman over firestorm
the thor over hulk decision was the hardest one for me. i'm going by the assumption that firestorm doesn't know anything about superman (has an erased memory for a blind cage fight) or else he'd be an automatic win over superman.

Hulk - Because I think he gets angry enough after Thor beats on him awhile to over power Thor.
Match #2
Shazam - Ms Marvel would have to rely on Shazam hitting her with his lightning (probably multiple times) to become powerful enough to beat him.

Flash - I guess Flash gets to him before BB can react and vibrates through him and gets his heart...I guess.
