Captain America: Winter Soldier ***(SPOILERS)***

One last chance, SPOILERS ARE INCLUDED
Just a few Easter Eggs I noticed....
1)Stephen Strange (Dr. Strange) name drop
2)Insight target included Tony Stark in the Stark Tower in New York
3)On Nick Fury's head stone the Bible Verse was Ezekiel 25:17 "The path of the righteous man..." (Pulp Fiction)
4)Bucky holding Cap's shield (possible foreshadowing of him taking over after Avengers 3)?
I'm really excited to see where the MCU goes from here now that SHIELD is no more. I never would of thought they would do something as crazy as that, but thats what makes the MCU great.
Also, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch look fantastic in the short time we see them in the after credit scene. Age of Ultron is setting up to be even better than the first.
Overall I thought this movie was fantastic and is by far the best stand alone Marvel movie.

Easily the best.
My one question is.
Now that Shield is no more.
What the hell happens to Agents of Shield the TV show.
Cause gassing that plane is going to be pricey.

I too, wonder where the TV show will head. Robert Redford was pretty good in his role, and who does the henchman with serious injuries get turned into?

SPOILERS
You know, I want to be shocked by it, but the Guardians move is still kind of ballsy. I can see them succeeding at something like this.
I also think it's good to play that arc out, especially for Cap, and have him move beyond SHIELD.
It's going to be different, that much is true.
Yup.
And I really dug both the Winter Soldier and just the heavy dose of action this movie brought. As good as the rest have been, there was something more grounded and intense about the sequences in CA:WS. And Bucky was a fantastic villain to use. I didn't like him as much as Loki, but he's certainly a character to watch as we move forward.
Evans is on for 6 films. He'll be on his fourth. Cap 3 is already green-lit. I wouldn't mind Stan for a couple of films, but the MCU needs a Steve Rogers, sadly to say, even if it isn't Evans.

So that's who those twins were. Not a comic reader so had no clue.

I too thought it was the best of the standalone movies.
I really liked the first CA and this one exceeded my expectations. Chris Evans was great in his role, trying to remain the moral compass even though everything and everyone around him was breaking down.
I was surprised we got the 'teaser' trailer of GotG in front of Winter Soldier. As a non-comic reader, I feel they are not marketing that movie well at all, and have a feeling it is not going to do well at the box office.
I think the reason why I like CA so much is he is grounded (literally and figuratively). Thor is so fantastical and while it's great (an my wife loves the eye candy), it's not as relatable.
And Iron Man is just played out. Great first movie but the next two were sub-par to put it kindly.
Winter Soldier was fresh, and built nicely upon the first one. Also, of the phase two movies it was the only one that really moved the story along globally. IM3 was Stark's personal journey and Thor 2 you got another infinity piece, but CA really feels like it moved the chess pieces around the board significantly.

That was very well put together movie. Great mix of action, plot and character development.

I agree with this, but I think that Marvel is going to wait to recast everyone later on in Phase 5 or 6. Why recast one at a time each phase when you have such a large database of characters to use in the near future. They should recast Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Black Widow, Thor, etc. (All big names going strong right now) within a year or so of each other, because all of their contracts should be up around the same time. At least thats what I would do if I was Kevin Feige

I think Captain America would be fine without a Steve Rogers. Not for a prolonged period of time but 1 stand alone movie and then an Avengers movie with Stan as the lead would be nice and something Whedon would like to do

a) LMD
b) It has to happen sometime, at least if they keep at least somewhat following the comics.

The big news today is that apparently Feige has sketches for films all the way out to 2028.
That's INSANE, but I believe it. The way they've constructed this world, it feels like they want to dominate film with this kind of storytelling. That means they have to have something epic for the recast. Reset everything at once, have the same characters, but tell different stories. Should be fun.

Have Dr. Strange come in and change history with his magic or something along those lines

Or Scarlet Witch. Or both.

Just got back from the movie. My review in six words: Batman does not stance a chance.

What's going to happen to "Agent's of SHIELD?
What's crazy is last week set up that SHIELD had bad people inside it.
I wish Colson showed up in the movie.
A lot of great action. I liked the dramatic turn. Like a high powered espionage movie. It was hard to get who was really in on what until Redford showed his colors.
I liked the Hydra angle, and their most famous leader was in the after credits scene with Quicksiler and Scarlet Witch so that was neat too.
I wonder what will come of Bucky.
I liked the winter soldier a lot. Interesting turn of events with him.
