Ive had some solid meals at Bannana Blossom and some pretty good fare at Siamese Cafe by the TJ Maxx in Kenner, but yeah we could use some shots in the arm.

Banana Blossom was the most legit I've had. GF got something that was out of this world.

Nah La Provence is sort of south of France elevated cuisine with Louisiana ingredients. Im talking steak frites, onion soup gratinee, mussels, lusty red wine by the carafe, and salade lyonnaise.

Cafe Degas is close.

Yeah the Italian calls are weird. NOLA has some pretty decent italian choices. Mariza for one is underrated as hell.

I have these two cookbooks by this French guy named Reynaud. Its mostly Lyonnaise food one would find in a bouchon, but it might be my next popup if I had time.

Totes. This is the reason I circle Oktoberfest on the calendar every year.

There are a lot of areas that really don't have a decent sports bar.

Count me as someone who doesnt understand the appeal of sports bar or how it differs from a regular bar with tvs tuned to sports.

Agreed. Sounds like some stupid shite John Taffer would put in.

Cooter Brown's is a great "sports bar." Bruno's is decent. And you have plenty of bars with walls of TVs and beer + food.
