I'd certainly have done it in my early 20's. I might even do it now depending on how far and how choppy the water was. If it was glass....let's GO!

I feel like if you got up on the water before the gauntlet and were good enough to not fall after getting up while going through it, then you'd likely be fine.
Going 20mph right behind a large boat would likely deter the sharks..I don't think they'd get that close to the boat to attack you.

Yes I would do this. 25 mil for a few minutes of scary waterskiing? I probably risk more doing every day thigns like driving to work.

Even if you fell off you would still likely be fine. When shark week first started pulling the seal it took them forever to get the seal to look real enough for the sharks to actually attack. There are plenty of instances where the shark swims up and bails at the last second because it realizes it isn't a seal. A human with bright colored skis doesn't look much like a seal.

I'll amend to 30' rope, prime sharky conditions. Yes, you can douse yourself with gasoline. Yes, you can zig zag around like a bass lure and get going a mile before the gauntlet if you want.
