That wildcat dude is always bringing in outside stuff (ned's sister crap, Imp in Bravos)...I;m doing the same, but in a CLUE type way....."Ned, in the Bed, with cersi?"
I didn't bring up the stuff about Ned's sister
And the Tyrion in Bravvos thing was just a guess. Varys said he was going to the free cities, I wrongly thought that Bravvos was in the area that Dany was in at first , but actually it's one of free cities, and the biggest city we know about is Bravvos, so it's an easy guess whether right or wrong. This is all in the show. Hodor approved. I've never brought anything out inside the show into the Hodor thread

I need to have a word with Jet. She started all this Ned's sister shite in that thread and all I did was explain where that info came from, and somehow everyone got the impression that I was the one to introduce that theory into the Hodor thread....jet disappeared from the thread and left me to take all the shite, some booshit man.

I'm throwing my book in the fire if Tyrion turns out not to be Tywin's son. It ruins their entire relationship.

Haha she did a drive by and somehow you got pinned with the crime. Fwiw, I've pointed out in the Hodor thread that it was jet's fault and where she got that info. I'm not sure why the Hodors latched the blame onto you

A Clash of Kings is so much better than season 2 of the show was.
particularly, the events at Harrenhal, north of the Wall, and Storm's End.

Decided to hang up my Hodor hat and read the books. Already 200 pages into book one. Excited to get through them before next season ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

The show did do well pairing Arya with Tywin at Harrenhall instead of Roose Bolton. Those scenes were money.

I'm lucky I made it out unbanned, if it had been during the season Jets drive by probably would've been fatal

Question: I feel like reading through the books would be less enjoyable because I already know what happens in the show. If I wanted to start reading the books and know everything from the show, should I still start at Book 1? Book 2? Even Books 4 & 5? I know that Season 4 ends at the end of Book 3, but how big of a chunk would I be missing if I just, say, started reading the combined chapters of Books 4 & 5? I really just want to get through 4 & 5 as quickly as possible because I don't want to be spoiled. What do y'all think?

Think about it this way:
Imagine instead that you have read the first 2 books but have never seen the show....would you just start watching the show for season 3 and never watch the first two seasons?

Most people seem to find reading the books the show has already passed rewarding, due to the extra depth you get via the written medium. You can get through them all before the show resumes as the first three are especially addicting. Hopefully some of those who have more recently started reading can give you their feedback. I just know Book 4 would not be the best one to start with.

Dude book 2 is soooooo much better than season 2

Read all the books.
Things are different, better.
The point of views from the characters add a lot. Even in book 1, ned has thoughts and dreams omitted from the show that are crucial to the overall story

From a sheer show perspective, I approve of the changes from the book to the show. Was anyone expecting that they'd pull of Blackwater as well as they did?

I hadn't read the books at that time ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Dang, sorry about that. I hope I didn't spoil anyone or anything.
Looks like I'll be reading all the books. Thanks for the help y'all, hopefully I can read through most of them before school starts up!
