You know Jaime, but Tywin has a younger brother named Kevan who is much more prominent at this point in the books than he has been in the series. It is said that Kevan has never said anything that wasn't first thought by Lord Tywin. However he's not as much of a ruthless monster as Tywin was and was actually fond of Tyrion and treated him well. It was Kevan who was counseling Tyrion during his trials during the books and not Jaime (although I can see why they did the change and approve of it). You saw Kevan in Season 1 and he was often beside Tywin. I'm sure he'll be in the next season.

I would not describe Lancel as competent.

And for reference, Kevan is Lancel's father.

Is that the scrawny little cousin that was also banging Cercei at one point when Jamie was gone?

I need to brush up on my Lannister family tree, I've never heard of him I'll look out for him when I rewatch over the next year

Ser Daven Lannister should play a big role moving forward I'd think.

Yeah, him too, but he hasn't been mentioned yet, and I could see him being cut from the story.

I will be shocked, shocked I tell you, if she doesn't find a way to screw Margary over.

I'm off to read 119 chapters now...

It's too bad the Reach (Tyrell, Redwyne) and Dorne hate each other. Else I'd think Margaery marrying someone from Dorne and uniting the South to march against the Lannisters would be cool. Let Tommmen marry a Frey

It's said Doran is more level headed while Oberyn was the hot head. Pissed? Yeah but he's not one to make rash decisions.

Dorne can't really be mad about Oberyns death since he volunteered to a fight to the death with a monster of a man

Oh yeah.. Dorne real mad. And they have Cersei's daughter, Myrcella, thanks to Tyrion.

They will be a big part of next season I'm sure.

If not all of Dorne is upset, those closest to Oberyn certainly won't take the news kindly .

they are separated from the seven kingdoms by a mountain range, so moving a large host across that terrain would be tricky. Maybe just a few.....

I wonder how much of this Littlefinger though would happen. I mean, he kinda got lucky that Tyrion was right there when Joffrey died. Did he intend for Tyrion to be the scapegoat? Did he know that Jamie would set him free? Did he know that Tyrion would kill Tywin?

Seems to me he got pretty fortunate that all of that went down like that.

Margaery has some tools at her disposal to use with Tommen which Cersei wouldn't even use.

oh no. its cool. you allow the same dude who raped and murdered my sister and her kids to crush the head of my brother while he was asked there to help in a trial and sit on the small council.

no big deal. I guess you can Oberyn was sunny and now Michael Carleone is plotting.
