I came home to find that I'd been robbed. My wife didn't set the alarm and my dog was shut in the laundry room. I had alarm signs, evidence of a big dog, and they did it in broad daylight. They only took a few things, but my kimber .45 was of them. It's a shitty feeling.

That sucks man. Just hope the guy is stupid enough to try to sell it. Have a friend that had a 3 day old ar15 stolen from him. He reported the numbers but still has never gotten it back. I hope they find that guy though before he steals more guns.

Damn, man. Are you in the city or the country?

I hope the bastard accidentally blows his head off with it.

Did the cops that responded to the burglary shoot your dog?

man, that is terrible...there is no more vulnerable a feeling than finding out your house has been burglarized...

I think the only time in my life that I would have literally killed someone was just after finding out someone had broken into my house...

we always think of our house as totally private and totally safe...takes a while to get over the feeling that none of that is really true...

It sucks bad man. Sorry to hear that. It happened to me a couple months ago. Same perfect scenario. Wife went out for 2 hours, left her jewelry at home. Back door gets kicked in and our stuff stolen. She's still not comfortable there at night without me. I'm always expecting someone to walk in.

Good luck. Hope y'all get some stuff back and/or catch the piece of shite.

Called the insurance folks out? A Kimber is easy to replace. At least he didn't get your grandpa's shotgun or something like that.

Sounds like a crackhead thug. Too bad you weren't there to blow is TPOS brains out.

Reassure your wife... it's not her fault. It's a good time to teach the little lady how to shoot if you haven't already.

That sounds a bit too coincidental to me. I'd be looking around for who's got eyes on my place.

shite man. Sorry to hear this. That was a nice .45...

Word of Advice:

Few years back, we got robbed in Houston, they only took what they could get their hands on in a quick/short amount of time: playstation/TV/laptops/etc..

Following day, I came home to the house broken into again. Cops said they came back for items they couldn't get in their "first grab". This was a common, repeatable crime. I had multiple guns in the closet that got cleaned out. Several shotngus/rifles from grandparents and recent purchases. 7 guns total.

Point of the story - don't think they didn't see the other stuff you had. Most likely they scouted it out when they were inside.

Ill give you a shout when I get back to Dallas for a brew. Sorry bud.

We should go back to the days of cutting thieves hands off. At least they could only steal twice.
