I've had this stuff about 4-5 times and I'm calling it quits. Always like to give it a chance because I love BBQ but it doesn't do it for me. Anyone like this place?

Ordered the graveyard platter the other night and it's comical to see the portions they give you. Not a fan, maybe back in the day when first opened. Their Mac and cheese isn't good either.

I've always wanted to try it when I'm over in BR but I always end up going to TJ Ribs instead.
Glad you posted this. I'll stick with TJs.

Yeah it is fricking terrible. Jefferson at Drusilla is really knocking them out the park.
Between brew bachers, Rocco's, and voodoo, it really really sucks

I mean its not great, but what else is there in BR other than TJs which is out of my college budget.

I go about once a month to the location by campus and will sit at the bar. It's very subpar but there's not too many options in town.
eta: I do like their corn pudding though

Their cheese fries are pretty awesome though

They recently changed the menu at the Mandeville location and raised the prices. It is comical what $15 will get you at VooDoo. The prices of the sides at $2.99 each are a complete mockery of the modern day fast food side item concept.
I won't be back after my last visit.

The one time I ate at VooDoo (the St Charles location) I was able to choke down a couple bites before my gag reflex was too intense to control. Threw the garbage in the garbage and have never been back. If your'e going to eat BBQ, it needs to be exceptional because BBQ isn't that exciting of a food to begin with.

they putting one up on my interstate exit now. I may go there a few times as an option.
But it has nothing on the NOLA bbq scene. I wish McClures was closer.

The one near Jefferson is mediocre and will sorta satisfy a BBQ craving if you can't get to a better BBQ place (like sadly Whole Foods), but the one near campus is the worst BBQ joint in Baton Rouge and possibly America.

It is the worst "BBQ" I've ever attempted eat, and the sides are just bad - the greens are the only thing that are just barely meh.

Smokin' Aces is the only semi-decent BBQ place in Baton Rouge

Had the same experience about 6 years ago. Haven't been back since.
Sad to see it hasn't changed.
It's also amazing that they are still in business. But there is not much competition for BBQ in the New Orleans area. Good BBQ in the New Orleans area is a rare treat.

Haven't been in years, but back in 06-08 I thought it was good. Always liked their potato salad.
