It will be only a short time before a judge comes an overturns the ban.

However, senators, on a split voice vote, rejected an amendment by Sen. Derrick Simmons, D-Greenville, to create an exemption for pregnancies that occur through rape or incest.
Too bad, might of made the bill reasonable...
...dead on arrival as it is
The reasoning for a ban on 20 wk abortions is that the baby is a starting to become well a baby so it would be cruel to mutilate and kill it in the womb. Saying it is okay to kill a baby that was conceived by rape (extremely small # of cases but it always gets thrown in the mix but I digress) but not a baby conceived by consensual sex defeats the whole purpose of the law which is to protect a human life.

I can't wait till the day when we discover the true point of pain receptors of a fetus.. At that time, the mental hurdles some will go through will probably make me visibly sick.

What if it's the rape of a minor who may be scared to admit what happened, resulting in the pregnancy not being known until after 20 weeks?
Don't care. Life isn't fair. Bad shite happens sometimes. The baby didn't commit the rape. A life's a life. Give it up for adoption if they can't deal with that.

This. Saying its okay to kill a child of rape/incest but not one conceived via consensual sex says that children of rape/incest are 2nd class citizens that dont deserve the same as everyone else.

there is no reason at all to limit this and not limit risk of life to the mother.
Then why limit any abortions? If you are against any and all abortion limitations there is nothing to ever please you. If you are for any limits but not all how do you rectify the taking of some lives but not others?
Seems convoluted to me.

Sounds reasonable to me. 20 weeks is long enough to make a decision..abortion after that long of a time frame is just cruel and sick.
So how many can we count on you to line up and adopt?

How many are you going to adopt? Oh, you love those little ones so much more by wanting them aborted because you've already decided they are worthless and don't deserve a life.
Conservatives adopt children more than liberals and have adopted more children of other races.
quote:
These aren’t terribly surprising results. National politicians with mixed-race families have tended to be Republicans. Both McCain and Mitt Romney had mixed race family members. It may be because conservatives are more likely to adopt children than liberals.

In Mississippi? This bill will pass easily...they would all out ban abortion in this state if they could.

Nice that you acknowledged that it's a baby. Now would it be right to use this:
...on an innocent third party?

A federal judge won't care what they think.

your logic is sound.
sadly however I cannot agree in the case of rape or incest.
I guess it comes down to deciding whose life is more important.
The one you might end.
The one you might completely ruin.

You don't give a damn about the Little Sisters of the Poor that are suing the Government because Obama has dictated they must provide birth control and abortifacients to their employees because some of them aren't Catholic. You don't really give a damn about women's rights.
Protecting life is important to Christians. Maybe you should thank them because they do a lot more help for people as they have two of the top three disaster relief organizations are church related. The Salvation Army and the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief are in that group with the Red Cross being the secular one.
