Am I the only person who doesn't particularly like The Walking Dead?

Let me first say that I am a fan of zombie genre (especially the first four Romero films), and it's not that I hate TWD, I just can't get interested in the show beyond any one episode.

I can turn it on and maybe watch an entire episode, but I am not interested in the continuing story and I am not compelled to watch an entire season's worth of episodes.

This is not to disparage the fans of the show. If you like it, it's fine. I was just interested if anyone else had similar feelings about the show and if they could articulate why they don't find it interesting.

No.

Just not a great show IMO. Lost interest in the second season. Heard it got better. If I had more time to waste I would have kept up with it.

I'm a big zombie, and horror in general, fan, but I just never got in to this show. Watched a few episodes here and there, but that's it.

Yes, you and the few that commented are the only ones, TWD has gotten much better. I was underwhelmed at first but I am glad I stuck with it.

Of course you're not the only one. Every show ever broadcast has people that don't particularly like it. Bell Curve and all that stuff.

I personally enjoy it and look forward to it each week. But it would be silly to say that it is universally liked.

I really liked seasons 1 and 2 but I don't even look forward to watching it now, and the fact that I know they'll never get into the cause of the outbreak makes it worse for me.

I liked characters that everyone else hated, too(Lori, Shane). Not them personally, but what they brought to the show. It just seemed more complete then. Now it's a survival show with not a lot in between, and it's too predictable.

no. it sucks and is terrible. boring, repetitive, aimless, and the bad acting has gotten extreme since it's more "dramatic"

Tried to watch just to see what the buzz was about. Made it through the first season but never really invested myself in the show or the characters. Haven't watched any subsequent shows.

First, let me say I'm a fan of the zombie "genre." I thought the pilot episode was great, perfect even. After that it's been extremely uneven with characters I don't particularly care about, filler episodes where almost nothing happens, and a lot of bad acting.

I've read some of the comics and I care about the versions of the characters portrayed there, just not their TV counterparts.

Still, it's the only serialized zombie show on TV so I continue to watch. I haven't seen the latest season because I like to save them up until the season is done and then blow through them all in a week. It makes those filler episodes more bearable.

And I don't care about them never finding a cure or source for the outbreak. There are near limitless stories that can be told simply around what it's like to survive in the world shown in the series.

I really liked it, but lost interest after the first two episodes of the latest season. I'll eventually seat down and watch the rest.
