Neither. I've never been a fan of Vettes and that Ferrari would be a maintenance nightmare.

Death by Italian "engineering" or reputation suicide by Vette ownership?

Porsche anyone? Or Acura NSX?

A 19 year old Italian exotic or a 5 year old fairly bulletproof domestic?

Drive it to the track, try to sling the guts out of it and then drive it home.

If it wasn't the 456 I would say Ferrari. Between those two I would take the Vette. Plus that Ferrari is probably knackered depending on who owned it.

At that price range there are some of early 00s "supercars" you could buy.

Just looked up the price of both. You can buy WAY more car than either if these for $73,000. Hell you can get a 02 360 Modena, a 2006-2009 Aston Martin Vantage, a 06 Bentley Continental, a 09 SL63 AMG convertible, a 09 Maserati GranTurismo coupe, and 2000 Porsche 996 GT3. All of those are amazing options next to the 456.

Damn, for $73,000 you could probably pick up a 2013 Porsche 911S. No way I'd take the Chevrolet or a 10 year old Ferrari over an S.

For $50k I would get the best 911 I could and call it a day.

There are plenty of Ferraris that are "buys" but the 456 isn't one.

Ferrari without hesitating.

Corvettes need to get a new rear end. They've morphed into slightly different versions of the Corvette released in the 80s.

Not saying the Corvette is garbage but I'd take a Ferrari every day of the week.

Good luck with that. In that range, you're more likely to get a 2011 Carrera, not an S. But I'd still take it over either of those cars.

Speaking my language. My dad had a Corvette when I was a kid and it was a great car but for me, there's just something about Ferraris.

I drove a Testarossa and it was so awesome. Took up the entire lane (width) and I was taller than it. I'm 5'7.

It was a sweet freaking car. Given where one lives, the maintenance could be a pain but if you can afford a Ferrari, you can afford the maintenance.
