He's 63 and I'm 50. He pretty much raised me when I got into middle school. And we both started a business together when I go out of high school. It really sucks. He's way to damn good a man to go out like this. Hell he hasn't aged a day since I was in kindergarten. If yall have any prayers in yall, please shoot them my way. It would be much appreciated.

Prayers sent. I know the prognosis for pancreatic cancer is usually pretty grim, but some people beat the odds. Regardless, enjoy the time you have with him as often as you can.

Appreciate it yall. It just really stings. He's aged better than all of my family. It's just hard to believe he would be the first to get bitten by the cancer bug.

Prayers sent.

Do you what you can, to be with him.

I lost my cousin, a sort of mix of uncle and cousin, who was 16 years my senior, to the same.

He fought bravely, was operated on three times, but succumbed after 9 years of battling.

The way he is talking right now is that he wants quality not "quantity" of life. I'm not sure that I blame him but it just sucks.

Prayers sent, OP.

I don't mean to derail this thread but I have to ask is pancreatic cancer only found in middle aged men or just really common in that age range?

How much of a death sentence is it?

It's pretty much the nail in the coffin to be honest with you. Awful sad disease. Good folks don't deserve it.

let's keep the negativity out of here. I truly believe in good juju changing the outcome of things and OP is getting a ton from my end.

I am truly sorry for you and for your family. As others have said, tell him how much he's meant to you, and to others. God bless him and your family.
