I think a meltdown was a factor (I think he was psyched after the safety) but I think you can also argue that he was able to lead a non-Super Bowl ready team to the Super Bowl.

He went to a team that won a playoff game with Tim Tebow at QB. The same guy who is currently out of the NFL. The Broncos were good before Manning got there.

They were easily the best team in the AFC, problem with that is the AFC was pretty weak this year.

It was a team choke, not just a Manning choke.

The game should've been closer.

I don't think you can remotely argue this.

They just had an awful game in all facets. You play the game today and they may stomp Seattle, we'll never know. They were just absolutely dreadful last night, and Seattle came ready to play.

Tim Tebow led a bad team to the playoffs.

See how stupid this argument is?

is this First Take where the answer to a question only has 2 possible answers?

The Broncos with any QB not named Manning, Brady, Brees, or Rodgers probably don't make the Super Bowl.

And therein lies the curse of Peyton, a victim of his own success. He carries these teams through the regular season with his superhuman effort but then becomes merely mortal in the postseason.

The entire team choked, Every player is as responsible as the last. The Oline wasn't blocking, The WRs weren't catching the ball and fumbled. Payton threw a bad pick, and then had his arm hit on a few plays. The Defense wouldn't tackle WRs

The Denver Oline played like absolute shite. Now whether that was because Seattle's Dline was that much better or Denver just wasn't prepared and out coached I don't know. Manning didn't play awful but he didn't play great either. Seattle just took it to them and imposed their will on them and Denver had no answer for it. Jmo

I blame Wes Welker. He's 0-3 now.

Choke job. Fox choked on it too, relying on his "coach on the field." It didn't look like they even game planned on offense.

They had huge injuries on D in the playoffs that hurt them greatly. PM still one of the best ever to play the position. Any one who says different is stupid

Denver was a decent team that had extraordinary luck in the fact that they typically faced opponents that were either injured, or had shitty defenses. They had a hard time with, and lost to, teams with decent offenses and solid defenses (that had not been decimated by injuries).

He finally met a team who decided to play a defense that thwarted his game plan of chicken shite pick plays. He had used his oversized football mind to perfect that game plan and drill it into his offensive teammates.

Once he realized that Seattle had an answer for it, neither he nor his coaches or teammates had prepared any alternative. He was overconfident that his "brilliant" offensive scheme, that had broken all the regular season offensive records, could not be stopped.
