I think it was the way we're meant to live.

Where else would I live? I was born here. My entire family is here. Does that mean implied consent to the government and everything it does? What gives them legitimate claim to rule over everyone? Because you spent a butt load on a military (a size which we don't even need) that I didn't ask you to, I'm obliged to be in servitude and assume the debt that was used to purchase and upkeep it?

There is literally an entire world you can live in that isn't america, and you can go anytime. But you are obligated to live by the laws of the country while in it. That is implied consent.

What does that have to do with anything? You think I don't want firemen?

Do you have enough to run your own private firefighting company?
IT isn't exactly cost effective, and it doesn't work if not everyone pitches in.

I guess if you ignore human nature. Anarchy will ultimately result in the same thing that is happenning now: the person who has the most and biggest guns ruling you.

No it's not, and besides, I'd like to make this place better. It won't be done through the political process. It will happen in spite of it.

No.

There are volunteer fire departments, and I wouldn't mind having a subscription/membership to a firefighting service.

You say it isn't, i say it is. Purely philosophical, and realistically i win because cops i guess.

I am aware, but what is the biggest sustainable area that could be serviced by a volunteer fire department?

There are things that should be maintained when not used. say the military, kinda fricked if you don't have one till you need it.

Next you will be asking, "Who will build the roads?"

I just cannot think of an effective business model for a private fire department.

I don't like the idea of a private police force.

I understand private companies could build roads, but frick getting around if everything was a toll road.

I would be totally down to let people skip out of taxes on the condition they use no public services or partake in enjoyment of public property.

It’s impossible to predict these things, but I would assume the homeowner would pay a set amount per year to a private fire fighting company and if the need ever arose they would come out to extinguish the fire.

Honestly, if you’re truly interested in how a society could function without the state and not just trolling check out David Friedman’s book – The Machinery of Freedom.

The Constitution was drafted for the intent of a responsible citizenry. Incrementally, lefties have succeeded in turning our citizenry into an irresponsible sum. Do the math!
It's not The Constitution rather The People.

At the rate we're paying it most certainly is. It's a by-product of outta control spending but you probably don't see that immoral either.

I have said before, i don't think taxes are inherently immoral, but they way we spend them, and ho much we collect is a different story.
