In your globe maybe, not the rest of the world. There are soccer players with much more name recognition than Jordan, who plays a game not nearly as popular globally as soccer.

Most guys would give up their first born son to play 1 on 1 vs Jordan

Jackson on the other hand would want to play 1 on 1 with most guy's first born son

What's there to sigh about? I think he's correct. Pele was much bigger than Jordan and he came before Jordan.

Michael Jackson is the most famous person of my generation (I'm 34), and maybe even the one after mine.

Jordan is arguable, but as much as he eclipsed his sport in terms of celebrity, he's not as famous as Michael Jackson. Not even close actually IMO.

IMpressively, I think Elvis is still arguable, even still 35+ years after he died.

Beatles invented "pop" music.

Love Me Do is not modern pop music. and i'll give you that jackson didn't "invent" it in as much as nirvana didn't "invent" grunge. but michael jackson sure as shite popularized it.

When you say MJ, the first one I think about is Jordan. But worldwide, it's Michael Jackson and it's not even close.

Only a few sports stars are super famous like Jordan, messi, and ronaloldo.
Johnny manziel would be a nobody in India or china , Paul McCartny like Tom Cruise is popular in almost any country.

I say Michael Jackson, but only because I think Jordan is way overhyped & would never have come close to 6 rings without Pippen & Grant/Rodman.

Where would Michael Jackson be without Quincy Jones?????
