Globally it's Jackson and I don't think it's close
IF you do'nt agree, go watch the big concert Michael had in London in 2003 i think. Usher and Chris Rock and Timberlake where in it when they were young.
They show the crowd constantly. Grown men and women, i'm not talking about teenagers, grown arse men and women acting like 14 year old girls at a Bieber concert. That's not normal. The guy was worshiped by everyone for his entire life. He is and always will be the greatest entertainer ever.
If there is anyone that came come close to Jackson as far as a global superstar goes, it would be the one and only MJ.
Kobe is getting close to MJ status and i'm sure Lebron will too, although they have the help of modern technology. The MJ's didn't have youtube and twitter and shite to help themselves be more known globally.

Hard to argue this, since Jackson was mostly brought up by almost ANYONE as Michael Jackson..... So as far as well know by initials?? Its Jordan....

that was my point... Manziel is really only a regional star. He is a nobody if he goes to Monaco or Dubai, Ibiza, London, or Tokyo. In India , they riot when a famous film star dies. they have parades. they found cars with messi stickers in south Africa. They have kids in Italy talk about bruce springsteen and kids listen to Linkin park and Metallica and 50 cent in Bengal.

I'm confused. Did anyone bring up Manziel as rivaling any of the stars? I thought we were talking about Jordan and Jackson.

I'm thinking that it's probably younger people saying Jordan. Jackson was in a whole different stratosphere in the 80's.

He went from superstar to SUPERNOVA............. After his performance at the Motown GALA... He went to a level that only ELVIS or the Beatles could touch........
