Would like to get some good news soon other than "(insert recruit here) had a blast on his OV!"

So having 3 players, #1 at there respective positions, isn't enough for a few more weeks?

We needed LF and JA just to save face on 1/2.

I'm happy we have them but we got more bad news than good that day.

I learned a couple of lessons though.

1. Experts don't know shite.
2. There are no locks.

I still don't get GW3 going to Florida. Best I can reckon is that the kids wanted to get the hell out of town away from all-eyes-on-me momma.

thought Young was a mid week visit anyway.. yall do realize these kids are canceling.. it's not the coaches asking them not to come

But if you pay attention to recruiting you will constantly see stuff like this happening. Stuff like Team X is after player 1 and 2. All of a sudden teax X is talking to player 3 and 4. Two weeks later player 1 commits to Team Y.

That is why when you see activity like this it is logical to speculate.

It could be coaches showing less interest. It could be coaches telling them we are already full at that position. It could be players talking to players. Regardless of the reason for the kids canceling trips, it is often because has happened behind closed doors.

I agree omegaman66. There may be info on Young related to this, or it could just be an adjustment to coach's strategy.

He's been enamored with leaving for about a year. It was a shock, but oh well.

No - but I truly hope it is not true. If he leaves the state, I want him to go to UCLA or Okie State - not an SEC opponent and especially not Florida or an SEC West opponent.

That is the regard I hold for him.

Getting top 3 at their position players is not saving face.

It is kicking arse.

yes, getting Jamal Adams on Jan 2nd was the result of a great 3-week run with him. There would have been a 4for4 focus on Jan 2nd otherwise. He was a bigger get than Hootie Jones. Yet, folks always cry over the one that got away. Net effect of that transaction was a big plus for LSU.

Only ones I'm disappointed with us not getting were CamRob (yes, long-time Bama fondler, but a real need position) and Tony Brown.

But, now I'm over Brown, too. I doubt he ever becomes a big-time contributor at Bama. Be it due to off the field issues, track interests, or that freaking recurring shoulder problem.

GW3 and that whole family are a collective head case.

Speedy would have been a plus in the return game for us, but he got enamored with what Sumlin was shoveling and no hard feelings.

Chark and Godchaux are already committed.

Valentine and Kenny Young are the key uncommitted visitors that I am aware of - there may be others.

And you know this how? Has ANY of these kids done a damn thing in College yet? LSU will finish Top 4 in the Country, it's going to be ok.

I expect valentine to commit. he took an unofficial to miami and i'm guessing that visit replaced his official visit.

valentine could be as good as gw111 so thats a wash. adams > hootie, cam rob is the only big loss in this class. tolliver (2015)> brown by a long shot. speedy would have been GRAVY. this will be an outstanding class.

If we get Adoree (and I still think that's a possibility), that is a replacement for Brown (and, honestly an upgrade) - AND, gives you a player who can situationally come in on offense or special teams and give you some of the playmaking ability that Noil would have brought.
