re: Anybody want to take a stab at the Final 7 Spots?
Posted by southbend on 1/24/14 at 7:33 am to tigerswin03
when i look at these remaining projections i get upset with the 1/2 recruits and how they misled our coaches
whenever a recruit takes 'other' visits and is committed to a team they are classified as a soft verbal. it means nothing.
i think Adoree will be the NSD surprise!

Cautiously optimistic
here is an article on adoree from yesterday. it doesnt state that he's eliminated us at all
LINK
Let me add that coach Shavers need to be in on this recruit to help seal this deal. the dude has aspirations of being in the olympics

I'm still hoping, but the last 48 hours or so seem to indicate he's eliminated us and Oregon.
do you have a link with that or any detailed info?

If I was Gage, I would seriously consider Tulane more, which is likely where he goes if not LSU. He goes there, he's probably starting opening game 2014. Comes here and he may get buried in the depth chart
yea.. plus kevin toliver and xavier Lewis will be coming in next year.

I just don't like to feel like we're settling. Which, in essence, is what might happen.
we're going to be settling Big time on at least 3 spots.. IF we take 7.

The coaches couldn't even guess this

Young would be a pleasant suprise
replacing Hootie with Jamal was great! But having no answer for Speedy, willis or Brown hurt.
hopefully getting adoree will make us forget all about speedy

all the insiders say we will take a full 25. I dont agree with it because then you take kids you really like...but not really..
tbh If we get adoree, Young, valentine, kelly and dupre i would be happy

I can only get up to 4. No idea on remaining 3.
1) M. Dupre (must have)
2) Valentine (must have)
3) Kelly (Think Work has paid off on getting him to commit)
4) Gage (gets in because too much room to keep saying no to him)

re: Is Deondre Clark flipping?

I think the kid would have told us by now. it's not like he has bad blood with LSU. why would he wait and flip at the last minute? dont think he would do that

then why is les wasting time visiting anyone. come on man! you have to recruit and recruit hard. That's how you stay on top. a couple years of bad recruiting and you end up with a portion of your state gone (North LA)
Which city in North Louisiana is Speedy Noil and Gerald Willis from?
North LA was just used as an example.. good grief!

the LSU defense does recruit itself! so does florida and bama. thats why you have to get in early and out work the other guys.
