I'm a Rand Paul supporter and will most likely vote for him if it comes down to it.

But I feel like he might scare some people off with his over the top extreme stances for certain subjects just like his father.

Does anyone else feel this way or support him?

Probably not, but he's one of few people I'd vote for

I think the ideas that Obama has about redistributing wealth and transforming America are way more radical than anything Rand espouses.

Unfortunately, no. The real owners if this country would not allow it. Both Fox and CNN will go hardcore against him, to where the sheep will follow.

Is that kind of violent imagery really necessary?

No.
He's not a good liar. To be elected president you have to be really good at lying. Obama is the best I've seen since Clinton.

Sadly I doubt it.

He has some interesting ideas I could get behind. But the mainstream party will work together to kill his chances.

If Rand flops it will be due to personality and presentation, not ideas. If Christie or Rubio win, they'll win on personality and presentation. Bush, Perry, or and other governors are wildcards. My guess is the thing comes down to Rubio and Paul vs Hillary or Cuomo.

I think he would fair much better than these neocons would like to admit. He could possibly get the majority vote of marijuana users and the libertarians that usually vote third party. Those are votes that Chris Christie or any any other establishment Republican couldn't possibly get. The only question is whether or not the old guard republicans would vote for him or not vote at all.

I doubt he has any legitimate chance. he would not be able to get Big oil behind him which is what any GOP candidate has to have in order to win the nomination.

I do like him and think that a few years of libertarianism would do this country a lot of good.

I plan to vote for him in the primary (assuming he runs) and then switch to whomever the GOP candidate turns out to be.

I personally think it will be Jeb Bush.

Who would have thought BO had a shot at being POTUS on Jan 19th 2006? So yeah Rand has a shot in '16 and '20 (if he doesn't get he '16 nod). The primary between rand (or another libertarian) and Christie (or another RINO) is going to be epic.

He is a little more reserved than Ron, but after what happened last year it is starting to look like Ron wasn't so crazy.

If this country really wants to see what it is like for Republicans and Democrats work together, watch them both do everything in their power to privet Rand from becoming President.

He is the wort nightmare for the political establishment of BOTH parties.
