I'm sure the long threads on teh subject have touched on the conversation at the start of the film between Dottie and her grandchildren - if you believe in foreshadowing that's one of the more damning pieces of evidence

Did not drop it on purpose, but being that she was a fierce competitor, Dottie could appreciate that her sister got the best of her. Hence the smiling after the play.
