The loudest MOMENTS were right after the final score of the USC-Stanford game was announced during the '07 Florida game.
Did this register on a seismograph too?

For me it's actually 2000 Mississippi State

It is forgotten because of the terrible outcome. But it was crazy loud with Tebow and UF coming off a natty.
Wasn't that the game where he came back after the concussion in the FL game with Kentucky?

I wish I would have been at the '07 game.
Me too. I was still in Florida at that time.

When we tore Florida a new one in 1997. My voice was gone after trying to talk to my friends next to me.

When Florida was backed up inside the 10 to start their first drive was one of the loudest moments I've ever heard in Tiger Stadium. Tebow went to audible and dropped his mouth piece. Then the crowd cranked it up another notch. But that's forgotten because the crowd was soon taken out of the game by LSU's offense.
I feel this thread means loudest game start to finish. That's why I put Georgia 03 at the top. The crowd never stopped. Some other games being mentioned like Florida 07 or Alabama 12 had moments when the other team took the crowd out of the game.

Me too. I've been in S. FL since '01, so I did get to see the '02 game when we fricking rolled UF's arse up at the swamp for the first time in a while... but then Mauck got hurt at the end.

Yeah, there were definitely games that were consistently louder from start to finish.
But that '09 UF pregame and when Tebow was backed up inside the 10 were probably the loudest moments I've ever experienced outside of gunfire or jets taking off. It made my teeth vibrate.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

USC '79 hands down easily. The fans were still in the stadium an hour after the game ended.

I had to listen to the 79 USC game on the radio. John Ferguson had to actually repeat what was going on in order to give some of the action . He was hard to hear. One last thing we should have won that game and though we lost the Tigers won in our hearts and minds that night.

I don't believe there will ever be a louder game than USC in '79 sad to say. Just unbelievable.

Yes. When Urban Meyer was at espn, he was talking about that game. Said it was loudest he'd ever experienced. Said he looked down at his khakis and they were moving from the noise.

This.
I also recall Notre Dame in 1987 being ridiculous. I was not at USC in 79 (I was in 8th grade) but people who were there have said nothing comes close.
All you snotnosed kids are showing your age. Please. Tiger Stadium wasn't built in 2001. You don't have a freaking clue what Tiger Stadium used to be like.

I've been to all of the big games since 1980. 2007 Florida was the loudest. My ears were hurting.

1987 LSU VS Ohio State was the loudest game I've been to. It was loud the entire game when Ohio State had the ball.
Maybe wasn't the absolute loudest, but the atmosphere, I think, is what made this game special. Earl Bruce wouldn't bring OSU out of the tunnel and theTiger faithful just kept getting louder and louder. Then, first series for OSU, Tom Tupa (QB and punter) tried either 2 or 3 times, unsuccessfully, to run a play. He finally looked to the sideline and cupped his hands to both earholes of his helmet, basically telling the coaches he couldn't hear a thing. Of course, Tiger Fans went ballistic. Good memories.

quote:I also listened to that one as well as the Bama game that year. It doesn't get mentioned much but that's right up there as one of the greatest LSU defensive games of all times. #1 Bama beat LSU 3-0.
