Who else is trying to feed their kids in the Obama Economy?

I was at Wal Mart and the cashier running the checkout lane told every customer he assisted that "This is my 2nd job because I am trying to feed my kids in the Obama economy" unsolicited. No one brought up the fact that he worked there or anything, he just blurted it out to everyone.

I felt bad for the guy and made me wonder if anyone else is out there who has had to take on a 2nd job at a place like Wal Mart or Caldor thanks to the Obama economy.

Wait until the full impact of Obamacare kicks in. Higher premiums, out of sight deductibles. There goes most families disposable income.

It's pretty common now to meet people who are underemployed or jobless and can't find employment opportunities. I have met countless college grads with clean records and good character who aren't finding jobs.

Obama's war on poverty is causing more poverty and misery, but this is to be expected since it's manufactured this way in the first place.

You expect professional standards from Wal Mart employees? You get what you pay for, buddy.

What is the "Obama" economy. Is that a scientific term?

Do you really think that?

Do you really think that most would get a 2nd job?

My 401k and personal investments did great this year.

Unfortunately the economy is still under performing from an employment standpoint- and I think that's why the average person is only just now starting to see a little improvement, if any. Washington is still debating extending unemployment benefits from 99 weeks.

My kids are now grown and gone, but I definitely tried to feed them every year I had them, regardless of who was president. Is that an unusual phenomenon?

I am glad he is stepping up and not waiting on the government to do it for him.

Ask homey making $8 hour at Walmart how much his smart phone and monthly service cost him. Ask how much is new car note, full cable package, and eating out 5 times a week cost. Or maybe how much he waste buying cigs, red bulls, and grocery items at the convenience store because he doesn't have the sense or discipline to plan some meals and go shopping once a week at his walmart.

Good point Spidey. Wal-Mart employees are low class scum. Hardly any of them have had a private school education like you have. I'm glad that you pointed that out to us.

It's a layman's term. I believe the Latin equivalent is:

Taxus regulatus inflatus

Exactly. Which is why if we're going to be pushing an equality agenda, it needs to be equality of opportunity, not equality of wealth. Even in a complete equal income society there will still be poor people because individuals can choose what to spend their income on. Then you start going down the slippery slope of telling people how they have to spend there money, and so on and so forth but at that point the country is already past the point of no return.
