Bingo. I've said this time and again on here and got hammered for it. The wedding is really for the (1) bride and (2) the moms. Your best bet on the weeding day as the groom is to stand there in your penguin suit, keep a big shite-eating smile on your face, and for at least that day, do exactly as she tells you to do.

I did. It was to her and my dads wedding song. It was actually same time as father daughter dance. My wife and her dad still talk ( ESP since grand babies) but they are not to close

You're a bad person

Has anyone else not done it at their wedding?
Probably 99.9% of the weddings where the mom is still alive has had a mother-son dance

i'm just not the one that wants to slow dance with my mom
Unless you and your mom hate one another, dance with her at your wedding. It will last 3 minutes, tops...much like your wedding night.

I don't remember. Probably, but I'm not completely sure.
I do remember dancing with my in-laws' maid though. She could move!

i dont think i did (of course this was 18 years ago), i did dance with my mother in law though

If your wife dances with her father, then you should dance with your mother. Don't be such a punk.

quote:WTF is your problem that you can't take 5 minutes max to dance with your mom. You too cool for that? It's your mother for Gods sake. Unless y'all have a shitty relationship and aren't close there's no good excuse not to indulge her for a few minutes and make her feel special.

Would you want any son you might have to treat you're wife that way? Don't be a dick/pussy/a-hole!
