I'm tired of reading messages today about Hartley not performing. Those were blocks guys. Please drop it.

The second one was not blocked. It was a flat out fricking duck hook

I have the game on the dvr still. I watched the last field goal slo mo multiple times. It wasn't blocked. The ball starts off at that trajectory and never wavers from it. Doesn't move at all. Also, a kicked ball would make the defenders hand move somewhat and it doesn't. But either way, a short field goal shouldn't be kicked low enough for a lineman to get close to it anyway.

First one was blocked because he kicked it way to low. Second one was a clear shank. All on hartley.

This guy is a headcase and you can't trust him in the playoffs. The saints should make a move now to get someone who can kick fg's consistently. Both misses today are on him even if they were blocked. They were hit way too low for those short kicks.

So who on the street, currently doesn't have a job is a consistent kicker. I agree Hartley is bad, but you almost would have to keep him because of what is out there.
Maybe a rookie or couple years out of college. Mo might be available.

Whoever we brought in a couple weeks ago to scare Hartley straight.

It is up to the kicker to get the ball over the LOS. This is especially true of under 40 yard FGs.
Long FGs (50+ yards) require a lower trajectory. The misses were at least 75% Hartley's fault. Four misses under 40 yds. this year, it's time for him to go.

After the missed field goal, Peyton turned and shouted something. I wonder if it was something like.."His arse is gone tomorrow"!!

Neither of those kicks should have been low enough for someone to get a hand or fingers on. The first was 36 yards and the second was 25. That's part of the kicker's job to adjust the trajectory. There was no reason for him to be kicking low line drives from those distances.
