credit blue for bringing that deal to my attention. It was like 370 on NCIX with a huge rebate and never settle. Why are people all over the 290 and 7970 for mining? are they really that much better that you would pay a huge premium for them?

Depends on what you mean by better. Better than NVidia for mining? Yes, simply because of the number of stream processors and the type of algorithms used. And they produce the best hashrates of the single GPU options out there. Definitely overpriced for gaming now, and probably not a good buy for mining unless you really really believe in those altcoins long-term (by long term, I mean like 2-3 months ). Or I suppose you can convert them all to BTC and hold for a long time if you're into that. I'm just converting my BTC to real money as I go.

I'm going to show my unsaviness, but I just ran 3DMark and it ran three tests then spit me a web page that looks nothing like y'all's. I'm embarrassed. I'm just not-dumb-enough to build a computer, but dumb enough to not know hot to use simple software.
edit: deleted image of wrong test.

You're just using the wrong version of 3dmark. Just download, specifically, the 3dmark 11 demo. You can get it directly from their site or on steam, and it's free.

Thanks. Trying to DL it directly without Steam. I ran it from Steam and it gave me those results. Will run again in the morning after it downloads. Not that it matters. Mine is a budget build, but it will be interesting to see how it performs vs. real machines.

Oh, and I think I have a bunch of EA bundle games I will never play that I can offer up. Some Steam, all Origin. They're old games, so if they're not worthy of prizes, just let me know and I'll give them away if anyone wants them.

It's because you downloaded the wrong version -- you were running 3dmark, which is newer than what you need: 3dmark 11, which is also on steam.

i7 4770k @ 4.3 1.22V
Asus Maximus VI Formula
EVGA 780 Ti Superclocked ACX 1018/1764
3dmark test
Not really happy with it yet, haven't really started OCing the 780 Ti.

Still fiddling around with my OC a bit, but this is probably the best it'll be for now:
P8603
MSI Radeon R9 270X
Intel i5-4670k 4.1GHz @ 4.134V (cooling preventing me from going any higher, at the moment)
Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 case (might take a pic later)
ETA: Upped my voltage to 4.160 V because of some random screen flickering. Looks fine now (and tested fine on prime95 originally)

Here is my basic budget computer. Maybe one of these days I'll get something that can run worth a damn. Computer was built with a combination of old parts and Black Friday deals. Spent about $450 on this one. Primarily for working at home on CAD and GIS, but I also play a lot of games, though obviously not on high settings.
You don't want to see a picture of this rat's nest.

Alright guys, everything is updated to the second post (see if I have your correct), but I need some of y'all to make corrections/changes.
I can't see your pic anymore. I don't know if it's just mine or what, but I can see all the others.
AMD FX 6350s don't go well with Z87 mobos
Can you get me a link to your 3dmark score page? It's covered up in your pic by your username proof. I'm OCD and I want everything to be right
Do you know which motherboard you have?
