Not bad for a rebuild year. 10-3 with a bowl win isn't a bad year.

On the money with 3 losses. Lose to UGA and Bama. Throw in a WTF loss and there you go.

met

I predicted 9-4 with a bowl loss.

Georgia: young defense vs Murray....got beat

Ole Miss: Miles has games like this every year (except 2011 until BCSCG) where the team is unprepared and not mentally strong enough to weather the storm and little to no mid game adjustments..

Bama: Bama, Auburn, Vandy got better each week; LSU, OM, Ga didn't. Arky, Florida, MSU got worse as the season went on. Bama won in the trenches; again no adjustments.

9-4 may still happen, but I knew it would be a tough year. Losing Hootie Jones yesterday and Cam and Cam, it seems like things will continue that LSU is 2-3rd in the west each year. I hope I'm wrong but that's where our program is right now.

I expected 2 or 3 losses this year.
I can't say they met my expectations.
The D didn't show any signs of improvement throughout the season until aTm.
The O started explosive but was soon figured out.
I felt all in all the team "mostly" played to the level of their opponent.
I was happy to see them keep playing after the Bama game instead of packing it in and thinking about where they would fall in the NFL.

Hoping for an improved year in 2014.
GEAUX TIGERS!!!

There are 2 games that concern me every year, Ole Miss and Arkansas. We should destroy both teams but we always seem to find a way to keep them in the game.

I had 10-2. We should not have lost the OM game. I think they had a good season and we fixed a big chunk of the offensive issues.

I expected a 2-3 loss season. Ole Miss was the surprise.

Me too.

Had losses to UGA and Bama. Didn't expect the Ole Miss loss, but the Auburn win looks nice in retrospect.

Met.

i predicted 9-3.

i thought we would lose UGA, Bama, and one other one btwn UF, Ole Miss, TCU, and A&M.

i will say the offense was a bit above expectations (Mett especially)

and the defense was severely below expectations

Met.....except for the Old Piss game.

IF the Tigers had lost to the Hogs, then my answer would be the team fell so far short of expectations that they are six feet under!

With the regular season over - how did Les's boys handle the season in your opinion, based on how you thought they would do before it started?

I'm always optimistic - I thought we were just short too many bodies on defense, particularly guys who were playing on Sundays. I really felt we could play with UGA (we did) and Bama (we didn't after the 3rd quarter). I thought we would lose to Bama and either UGA and/or aTm. We lost to UGA and Ole Miss, as well as Bama.

Who knew Auburn was going to end up looking so good? Who knew Florida would end up looking so bad? Auburn will end up being our most impressive win, and Ole Miss our biggest disappointment.

I thought 9-3 or 10-2 in the regular season would be about par - with a lot of young guys getting experience, especially on defense.

Looking ahead, unfortunately, we seem badly off sync for offense/defense - our offense will see a lot of new/young faces next year, while the defense should be much improved (and, statistically, we weren't that bad this year, considered the circumstances) - 2015 looks to be the next year we have lots of experience on both sides of the ball. If the offense (Cam Cameron, baby) can get caught up more quickly than expected, we could make a SEC run next year. Bama and aTm will be breaking in new QBs - plus Bama is going to lose quite a bit to the draft off their Oline and defense. Ole Miss and Auburn should improve in 2014, and that is scary for Auburn, with how well they run the ball now.

We could have a better team and do worse in 2014 - that's how close to parity the conference is.

If I'm being realistic, met expectations. With the losses last year and the schedule this year, it was going to take a miracle to be able to compete for a SEC title. The Ole Miss loss stings the most, and I for one am glad the Friday Arky game is over. But, a Cotton Bowl invite and a victory over possibly Baylor would put a nice end to the season and get momentum going into next year.

I think their record is right where I saw them...I didn't think our defense would be as vulnerable, but the offense exceeded my expectations.

I thought we would finish 2nd in the SEC West, but Jesus loves Auburn more this year.

Fell short. The whole LSU football culture seems to be taking on the identity of our zany little fun loving coach. Good enough is good enough right? Next year is our year....

no, actually I was disappointed in my performance as a fan this year. Granted I had some physical struggles that certainly played a part, along with a rough schedule that was out of my control, but that's no excuse. I'm firing myself as a fan, hopefully I can latch on to a mid-major to pull for next year.

Haha, logged in to echo this.

I figured 2-3 losses and consider that acceptable. I thought Bama and A&M would be closer games though. Losing 8 starters on D can't be understated in the SEC.

The most disappointing thing about this season was how mediocre Keehn was given our recent history of great punters (Jones, Wing, et al). With a young defense learning on their feet it puts them in a bind when you're shank-prone.

Best thing about this season? LSU #1 in the SEC in 3rd down conversion AND red zone offense.
