I find the whole Boot thing to be a really contrived rivalry.
Texas A&M is a far more natural rivalry for us. Which is why I'm glad they're moving to this weekend next year.
Oh, and I hate Auburn far more than Arkansas. Nouveau riche' mofos.

I still don't consider them part of the SEC even though they have been around 20+ years. I consider A&M more of an SEC team than the pigs. The pigs are like that pimple on your arse that won't go away. Annoying as hell.

I hold no ill will towards Arky. Their fans can be obnoxious but so can every other fan base in the SEC. Ole Miss will always be the team to despise.

Well, I've never hated AR. Up till last week I hated their fans. Even when getting blown out they focus on press conferences and yardage for moral victories, which they are very vocal about.
Discovered last week that Aggies are the same. Except more vocal. And we have less in common with them. And they are worse than Barners about making up stories to justify their "better fanbase than you" attitude. In short- Piggies are piggies; Aggies are the T-Sips of the SEC. I'll take the Piggies.
Ever since I saw this a couple of years ago I like to post it AR week. It was an AR poster:
When you lose to LSU you get angry.
When you get angry, you buy a Harley.
When you buy a Harley you date and hire a female volleyball player.
When you take a volleyball player on a Harley ride on the pig trail you end up in a roadside ditch.
Don't end up in a road side ditch. Beat LSU.

A buddy of mine spent 3 years working in Little Rock. Arky fans care about nothing but beating LSU. They can get curb stomped by a Division II school, but they'll talk like they're the Green Bay Packers the week of Thanksgiving. He said this week was insufferable, and the following week after a loss was worse.
For LSU fans, Arky is just the game we play after Thanksgiving. I for one am excited about moving the aTm game to this slot. I just think the rivalry will have a better chance at developing between those two fanbases.

This is a great observation. Now that you mention it, this is why they annoy me. I dont hate them like i do bama and auburn, but im more just annoyed by arkansas fans, if that makes sense.

Arkansas football is forgettable. The only we reason we ever lose to them is because they are completely irrelevant. Even when they're decent, they don't really matter.

I hate Ole Miss the worst. To me, the Ole Miss "smug level" can't even be charted.
Look, losing to Ole Miss in football is akin to that incredibly dorky punk arse bitch kid from your 5th grade class getting lucky on a spin the bottle game by getting to French kiss this incredibly hot, new chick that just moved to town. Sure, he got lucky, but he's still just a punk arse bitch dork kid. She'll never be his girlfriend, even though he'll act like she is. Much like Ole Miss not knowing how to handle the win, that kid's kiss won't lead to anything down the road. The hot girl (and Ole Miss winning) are both new to town. She looks back on that kiss with disbelief, wondering how in the world she let that happen, but still has to hear about it for a year. Everyone knows she's "better than that", but she still has to deal with the aftermath, and the fact that she did let it happen, even though it meant nothing, will lead to nothing, and sure as hell doesn't prove she's in the same league as that dork.

This. Growing up, the Texas A & M game was generally the first game of they year and was greeted with much anticipation and fanfare. It was a HUGE came because it was the first game.

It's the one game I can't stand for LSU to lose. I don't think LSU should ever lose to Arkansas. But, it happens sometimes and I can't stand when it does.
I lived 14 years in Arkansas and my wife's family are Razorback fans. I've got family and good friends who are Razorbacks so I don't hate them, but I don't want Arky to beat LSU in any sport.
I want LSU to use these next couple seasons to put some serious distance between themselves and the Hogs. No more close games. Get the lead, bring in the subs, and win decidedly!
