exactly.

but with an effective QB it average 460 yards per game and 37.9 pts per game and ranks in the top 4th of offensive rankings nationally.

a good QB makes an offense go. there was never anything wrong with a pro style offense whose goal is balance. it's what bama does.

Hate to say it, but I've noticed the offense look much similar to 2011-2012 lately than it did in the TCU game.

You haven't noticed anything. That's just the way that you are rationalizing the losses.

Neither team has a defense.

Anyone who confuses LSU's defensive struggles with those remotely approaching the abortion that Aggy has put on the field this year needs to take another look. That is like trying to equate a dumpster fire with a forest fire.

PPG
LSU 23.5
Aggy 30.9

YPG
LSU 353.7
Aggy 454.4

Passing yards given up
LSU 2008 (200.8 per)
Aggy 2437 (243.7 per)

Passing touchdowns
LSU 11
Aggy 24(!)

Rushing yards given up
LSU 1529 (152.9 per)
Aggy 2107(!) (210.7 per) (!!! holy smokes!)

Rushing touchdowns
LSU 13
Aggy 16

Well I guess it shouldn't be much of a mystery as to exactly why aTm's defense sucks so bad.

The offense has looked the same for years and its all because of Miles. No tight end passes, no RB screens, just up the middle for 75% of the plays. The only difference is we pass a little more this year.

I don't see anything wrong with what he said. I can especially see why Snyder of all DCs would say that given the number of downfield shots we tried vs. A&M last yr. we seriously tried to bomb them last yr and had guys running free all game. Mett was just off.

The coaches that say this don't have a clue. A&M's defense is going to get lit up.

If Chavis' defense is a mess, then Snyder's defense is a hot, flaming, shite-stained disaster. He's trying to make himself feel better b/c LSU does have some predictability on offense, but his defense is atrocious.

For the most part he is spot on. To me the first two offensive drives against GA were what I was expecting to see all year but that has not been the case for the most part. I think the biggest impact from Cam has been QB mechanics and WR techniques being brought to higher level (ie route trees, route precision, maybe dictating things by formation). But for the most part it is the same offense. Those additions by Cam have led to increased productivity. But Miles imprint is still all over this offense (tight formations in close, toss dive, TE as glorified OL) and that will never ever change. Miles sees an offense as a battering ram to bludgeon the opponent so big plays open up on the "back end" of the game. Does anyone think having a more mobile QB and possibly Fournette will mean the Auburn or Oregon style spread?? Absolutely not. It will be the JJ/Ware type spread. That style of offense has served Miles well and is his safety blanket. Not hard to figure us out but more times than not it is hard to stop us. I just think Miles thinks we are very close to BAMA and no gap exists. Just a fumble here and there separates us. Whether you like Miles or not, we better all hope he is right.

So do you think Chavis is a horrible DC this year or is it lack of talent and experience?

The difference from last year and now is that we drained starters to the NFL....has to be an inexperience issue.

Is he lying? Does the LSU offense from the first view games this season resemble what we have seen the past few games?

Besides UF, yes

Mett wasn't throwing picks early on though

Even if it was the same (it's not), would it even matter? Would you prefer something that looked entirely different but still sucked arse?

Just off the top of my head, I can think of an RB screen that we broke for a huge gain vs bama. I'm sure there are others, but you only have to go back to our most recent game to disprove this statement. There was also at least one pass to the TE in that game.

The only real problems the O has is the OL sometimes can't protect and Mett sometimes gets locked in on OB or Landry and doesn't look for anyone else.
