No love for this?
That was the first baseball game I ever owned and I came to find it was the only one where when you were batting the view was from the pitcher's perspective. I learned to play that bitch awesome. Then when all my buddy's got Griffey they whipped my arse for a while until I got used to it
The couldn't handle me in Bases Loaded though.

Lots have been mentioned. I had Based Loaded too. Love it. Never played Griffey until the N64.

Also loved Joe Montana Sportstalk football on Sega CD.

I have to find an old 4 plyer arcade version of NBA JAM for the house. 'twas my first hustle. Just gaming on other kids at the mall.
Phoenix Suns all day son. Barkley, Thundering Dan, KJ were the ultimate match up nightmare. When Marjele caught fire the 24-0 run was on.

Loved Bases Loaded. It actually was more realistic hitting than its predecessors. I would put RBI ahead of it though, just for pure fun.
RBI Baseball
Punch Out
Techmo Bowl
Double Dribble
Blades of Steel- fighting was awesome
Baseball Stars
NCAA football on Genesis was buggy, but awesome for its time

Some sports games I had as a kid:

Not even that. If you were up late in a game, computer would hammer you and make it close.
That game caused me a lot of angst as a kid.

Ken Griffey Jr's Slugfest. I have the 1998 version. I still remember playing every game of a full season and winning game 7 seven of the World Series as the Cubs beat the Red Sox in Fenway (before 2004, so this was the dream matchup).

Me and my dad played the hell out of that game....we had to actually buy a second copy of it if I recall correctly.
shite I had to buy several NES games twice. Not sports related but for some reason me and my sister played the hell of out Battletoads together. That was about the only times we weren't fighting growing up LOL.

Good man, 316! I came here specifically to post Bases Loaded. Man, I loved that game. One of my favorite things was that, when one team kept striking out a lot, the ump would say, "You bum! Out!" I don't know if I've ever laughed so hard as when I heard that for the first time. My cousin and I spent one summer playing that game constantly, and we both got really good at it.
I was also a huge fan of Arch Rivals. It was hard to find a more gratifying feeling than being able to legally punch the shite out of a guy and taking the ball from him.

In the original Tecmo Bowl, I was unbeatable if I played with the Bears. Walter Payton, Willie Gault, Dennis Gentry and Cap Boso were unstoppable!
Unfortunately, so was Bo Jackson with the Raiders. Whenever he ran, the game would go full retard on the cheat code and the defense would just bounce off of him as he rushed for 893 yards/game.
RBI baseball was also incredible. Used to always play with the Reds b/c I was a huge fan of Eric Davis as a kid.

Yeah. They still do it now. I got it on the Wii. And as I got accustomed to the game I played it on easy to start. I would be but up in the first QTR like 30-2 and then all of a sudden the difficulty would amp up like crazy the rest of the game.

FIFA Soccer SEGA. Turn off penalties and run around smashing fools until they start walking around like zombies. Never got old.
